Hi. I am adding obituaries to memorials and I created a memorial for Martin Severin. Then I found that you had already created a memorial for him. If you would like, you can copy the obit from my memorial and add it to yours. Let me know when you have done so, and I will delete my duplicate. Sorry.

RE: the Barlows
Joanie, Thanks for the info on Bryson and his family. I did make some changes to his memorial page. I have not found his father's middle name as anything but the initial "S", except in an SAR application which had no proof attached. You were correct that Bryson's mother was Frances Eliza Bryson Barlow. Are you a direct descendant of Bryson? I descend from his wife Martha's sister.

On her page you have her maiden name as Lawless, is that in the records? Just wanting to verify it is the right person. Thanks so much

David Goddard
Thomas Luther Goddard & Sarah Jane Smith Goddard Morris

I have been unable to find the grave sites for my great-grandparents: Thomas Luther Goddard (1836-1865) and Sarah Jane Smith Goddard (1837-1929) (later, the wife of Chester Morris).

Sarah's obit says she was to be buried in the Cornell IL cemetery. I was unable to find her stone. Is she in an unmarked grave, or is she in another cemetery.

All I have on Thomas is a birth date and a place of birth. He died in 1865 in Pontiac IL. No date of death or place of burial or cause of death.

Can you help me?

David Goddard

RE: Minnie Zwang
It looks possible, according to the Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths database, that Minnie Zwang, wife of Theodore Zwang, was born Minnie Harding. She is buried at Riverview Cemetery in Streator. So, where does the name Swatzer come in? Are they the same people? I'll keep digging.

Can't find grandparents grave
Hi my name is Lynn Clay. I found quite to my surprise this sight with my parent's headstone picture at St. Anthony cemetary in Streator, Illinois. My grandparents Elizabeth & William Faulkner are buried there also and I can't find any record of it. Can you help me?
Thank you for your time and trouble.

I will see what I might be able to find and let you know, possibly even as soon as tomorrow. I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

RE: Alice Lawless
Alicia was my grandfather's sister. I do believe the 1873 is very close as in 1880 she was 8, Thomas was 5 and George was 3. William had not been born yet. I agree you have to be careful of census records but when I see a pattern of the same age within a year or so I feel more confident it could be correct. I have no idea which church they attended. Because my grandfather was in his father's second family in Nebraska, I have only just found Alicia and family recently. I have a copy of her father's will that lists her in it.

Baby Zingerlie
You sent me the wrong link, but I figured out who you were talking about. I did not add the photo of Baby's gravestone. Contributor Michael did. I notified him that it is not the right photo for Mary Zingerlie.

I already had the correct photo for Mary, and added it to Mary's memorial. He will have to remove Baby's photo from Mary's memorial since he posted it. We can't do that. I hope he will create a new memorial for Baby and add his gravestone photo.

I have done all I can do at this point. I sent him the info for Baby's name being Rose Marie and the birth/death date you told me. Thanks, Pam

RE: Udpovgiva or Matt
Udpovgiva is the Croatian version of Matthew. More than likely back then, you were called by a nickname, usually short for your full name. In this case Matt. On his sins marriage record, the father saids Matt.

I deleted my edit of Ancona, and resubmitted it as Manville.

If that is wrong, change it to what is right.

RE: Andro Zelar and Susie Siroka
Did you want me to do something with this information?

I found Robert Carl Micklus and put him on Find A Grave and linked him with Mike and Dora. Someone else also put him on Find A Grave but she is inactive so I made another memorial for Robert and put his obit on his memorial and also made a request for the original transfer over to me. Linda

RE: Johann Henry Rients
Hello Joanie,

Yes, Eilt Remmers Rients and Gretke Tjarks were the parents of Johann Henry Rients.
I am rather rusty working on this site as it's been a long time since I've been here I'm sorry to say.
Tried to add them as parents to Johann but was unable to or figure out how to. Perhaps you can add the parents or advise me as to how I can help?
Johann Henry Rients married Luebka Alberta Post 1889 at St. Petri's Lutheran Church near Flanagan, IL 1889, they left for Minnesota 1892.
Thank you for the message.

RE: Brady - Ardrey
It's good to hear from you; I will definitely check into this and see what I can help you with. The name Ault, without being in family tree, does sound quite familiar and definitely the names of James & Mary Brady ring my chimez ♫

I will try to contact you next time thru your e-dress rather than find-a-grave. My direct contact is at: I am Conni (Brady) Brown and look forward to being able to help out.

CAT-cha soon...meow~meow Conni

Grand Rapids/Cumberland
Hi Joanie:
I don't know for sure if Grand Rapids Cem was Cumberland but I do know that there was a Cumberland Church which was the predecessor of the Grand Ridge Presbyterian church according to the church records at the Guild. There is a George Buchanan Woodward in the Grand Rapids Cemetery buried in lot 56 so I would bet that you are correct. Possibly Jim Collins would know for sure.

Thanks for the note. Well, guess we go with what limited info we have and hope some family member has more info someday for us.

RE: Hocking
Thank you for checking. This is such a sad story. I am not sure about this cemetery as far as a lot number meaning there is no grave stone but I have lot numbers for many of my relatives/ancestors that do have grave markers, so that statement is not the case everywhere.

Back a few years ago, you asked, on Mary Chrisman Maxton Wren's memorial, about her husbands. I have linked two of them, Milton Maxton, and Joseph Wren.
