RE: Rebecca Joines Hickman
Darlene,

On the 1870 census, Julia is living with her daughter Amanda and husband Henry Lucy. It states that Julia was age 77 and was born in 1793. That would put her age at around 20 when Rebecca was born. Since I don't have any other mother or explanation for Rebecca, I am going with the age on the 1870 census, until I can find proof otherwise.

Graham
Hi. My dad was abandoned as an infant and found in St. Louis, Mo June 8, 1922. He was adopted in Sept 1924 by the daughter of Louisa Graham (1882-1901). Adoptive mother was Viola N. Blake Dietz. Based on my research, I have determined my dad's biological mother or father was a member of their family. Anyone who knows anything about his birth, please contact me so I can confirm my biological roots. My dad's birthday was estimated to be May 1, 1922.

Thanks, Susan Dietz Hamilton

I do not need management rights for John Dorsey.

My great aunt married one of his sons.

I just wanted to bring the duplication to your attention.

I looked up his death certificate on-line as wee.as well.

John Jefferson Dorsey
Curious to know if John Jefferson Dorsey (71945950) is actually buried in Coldwater Methodist Cemetery. There is another record showing him buried in Linville-Barrett Cemetery near Coldwater (85528018) with grave marker. His wife is also buried in Linville-Barrett (85529482).

George Washington Joines
Suzy,

how do you know that his parents were Thomas and Julie Ann Joines and that hos brother was Daniel Logan Joines.

I descend from Daniel and I have just about all of the documentation on this family. GW and DL are on Julie Ann's estate sale but that is not proof that they are brothers and Julia Ann is their mother.

Do you have any concrete proof like a family bible?

Minnie K White
Minnie K White was my Great great grandmother. The site says her maiden name is not known. Her maiden name was Eads. My understanding is that before she was married to Charles Allison White, she was married to Bert Adams, and had 3 or 4 children with him before he died. My great grandfather was Noah Eugene Adams, and he was one of those children. I also knew one of his full blood sisters before she passed. I am told that my GGF and all but one of the Adams children that Minnie had were "farmed out" to various relatives or friends in SE Missouri, to raise, after Bert died. I have not been able to locate my GGF or Bert on any census records or anything. The only thing my mother can remember about Bert is that he was buried in a little cemetery in a real small town over in Missouri and they went their once. My grandmother unfortunately does not remember these family details any longer and is the only one left. Do you have any ideas? I think Wayne County area of Missouri.

RE: Johnson county question
Hello, I had written you an email at your regular email address if you still use that. You could send info that way. Or my address is vintage40s@hotmail.com. I would be so thrilled to receive Any information on a Heath school. Do you know when it was built and if the church and school were the same building? Thank you, Annabeth

Hi
Got into genealogy tonight. Got to wondering about the Richardson line. Somehow, I think that it goes back to KY and could be the link to one of the eight brothers. Wondering how you are doing? I have not heard from you in awhile. Hoping you are well,

Rhonda

RE: Pvt John Wesley Heath
Interesting. The name Levi Heath rang a bell. I have been searching for (and finally found) the little school he established in the Forge Creek, TN, community - "Heath School." My Gma and her siblings attended there in the 19th century. It still stands, but as a church building. So much water has gone under the bridge since I read the W-P feud story that I'd forgotten Levi was involved. So, they didn't just move right to MO, they tarried? Anyway, that feud story is some tale. I have kin on both sides and when one of my great aunts whose Ma was a Potter by birth, wanted to wed a Wilson, the fur flew. But Love won out!

I went to www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates.
This will give you the page where you can put in her name which is Mrs. Huldah Jonis on the index. I can't attach to this message only an actual email address.
You can reach me directly at mclloyd1@charter.net and I can send you the attachment.

RE: Pvt John Wesley Heath
Since you mentioned the Wilsons, are you familiar with the Wilson-Potter feud? Or is that your tree? I'm sorry to say some of them are distantly in mine, but it does lend some excitement to the family story. I'll email you later today and we can start writing. I'd say we are at least somewhat related. My Potter part of my family is Johnson County Tn/ Watauga, NC.

Thank you for writing. I am very interested in the Civil War, found that information, and thought you might add the explanation of what how he had served (I had no idea what EMM meant). John Wesley is a cousin of my great grandmother, Nancy Caroline Potter, so no, not direct. But I would be very honored to maintain his memorial. Whatever you decide. Thank you for establishing it!
Best wishes ~ Annabeth

RE: Melvie Jean Moore
I am so sorry to hear you had trouble contacting Belva regarding the memorial. You are one of many that have contacted me with the same issue. I have been in contact with Find A Grave regarding the many multiple complaints about requests not being answered by the contributor and hope they will soon take over that contributors memorials. I have been transcribing Greenlawn and have been trying to see that the duplicates are removed and errors corrected. I am going to send F-A-G a list of the duplicates so they can be combined and the family members can hopefully take over those memorials, yours included. Thank you for your response!
