|Lois Ames||MADELINE BLACK|
I have a concern re: Memorial # 84230651- the headstone pictured is of MADELINE M BLACK "PASSED AWAY" 24 SEP 1973. Madeline was married to my cousin and is buried @ Clear Creek Cemetery in Nevada Co., CA...
The bio information attached to this headstone lists DORIS MADELYN ROW BLACK DIED 3 OCT 1973- This does not match....
Just though I would share that with you... am not sure how to correct the information?
Thanks... Lois (Pingree) Ames

Thank you for the additions and photos for Clear Creek Cemetery. Am on dial-up here, so uploading photos takes too much time. Am interested in Civil War Veterans who once called Nevada County home. Those found interred in Clear Creek Cemetery are:
EBENEZER B. ODELL
LEVI J. DAVIS
EDWARD B. SHETTERLY
JEREMIAH W. WILLIAMSON
If you might know of anyone with information on any of the above soldiers I'd be happy to hear about them.
If you ever take a notion to visit the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research in Nevada City, we might bump into one another. I'm normally there on Saturdays.

It looks like one was recently approved. We have a couple of volunteer administrators who approve cemetery and famous person photographs, and sometimes it takes a few days for them to get through all of the submissions. Thank you for your photos and contributions!

Many thanks for your help. The added little photo of the baby's marker was great as I did not have that info in my genealogy.

How did you gain access to the cemetery? I have been trying to get there for close to three years. I know the Bear River Recreation and Parks District acquired the property several years back and there are tenants currently living in the house. The woman at the R&P office I've been dealing with has put me off from going there. The Kylers are my family and I am attempting to find out how many others may be there.

Thank you for the headstone pictures that solved a mystery for me. He has a empty space by his first wife. I wasn't sure where he was.

Thank you so much!
I sure appreciate you going the xtra mile for me.
Niles Sr. is my 2nd gr-uncle. He was the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court 1887-1889. I have a transcript of his journal telling of his trip to California during the Gold Rush. You can learn more about him at the Nevada County Historical Society.

Thanks so much for your quick response to our request for a photo from the Rough and Ready Cemetery! These women were mother and daughter, my husband's great grandmother and her mother. It thrilled him to see the photo and we will add it to our records.
Thanks again for your service! We appreciate it. Have a wonderful week!

Thank you so much for doing this picture for me. I really appreciate it. In the 2nd picture you picked up his wife, Berta's stone. I have created a memorial for her #40520172 and would like you to add the photo so that you may have credit for it.
