Elisha A Dean
I am researching the children of Ezra Dean. His sons, Elisha, and Willard both served in the Civil War. What you share your info re: Elisha. I am also interested in the birth information that you found.

Root Genealogy

I was looking for information on members of the ROOT family.
I noticed that you had placed information on Find-A-Grave regarding William Harrison Root.
I had been researching Dora L. Root.
Various records indicate optional parents:
1. William A. Root (1885-?) and Martha M. Campbell (1886-?)
2. William Harrison Root (1885-?) and Nancy Hitchcock (1831-?)

Might I be able to obtain the genealogy of either or both couples?

Thank you for your work and service.
-Ro Fleury

Yes, of course you may use the picture of the Staley headstone.
This particular cemetery is set back in the field (now woods) and has recently been cleaned up as an Eagle Scout project by a local boy.

I have attached the information to Simon that you sent to me. Maybe you need to get permission from the people that took the gravestone picture for Simon.

Thank you so much for the additional information.

I give tours of the cemetery to school children and I focus on the Civil War graves. Danford's grave is just inside the gate to the cemetery and I can now include his story in my presentation.

We dress in period dress and I also have some reenactors with me. Everyone enjoys it and we try to create interest, hoping that these kids will carry on our work.

I wonder where he is really buried with two headstones ? I see his wife is buried in Grant.

Yes, of course, use the headstone picture. Thanks for asking.

John W Garner
Hi Don,
I believe that you've mistaken who you've marked this grave as. This was my Gr Gr Grandfather, John Washington Garner. He was in the Co F Wisconsin 7th infantry regiment. His son George W and his son's wife Ethel are buried right next to him. There are also other family members buried around him also. The person you refer to John Weston Garner I believe is his 2nd cousin. I was just at this grave two weeks ago. Thanks, Jill

Unfortunately, I did not create that Find-a-Grave memorial page so I cannot make any edits to it. You should submit your edits by clicking the "Edit" tab on the memorial page and asking the contributor to make the edits or to transfer the page to you. Good luck.
