Louisa Sellars
Hi Pat, in the Spring Creek records you are showing Louisa Sellars, the wife of Marquis de Layette Sellars with Sellars as her maiden name. It is actually Louisa Taylor. She is the daughter of Richard W Taylor and Lydia Beard. My connection is through her son Omer Isaac Sellars who is my grandfather. Thank you sure appreciate all that you have done and continue to do in documenting information for loved ones. Mary Jones

RE: W.H. Kidd
Hi Pat,
I should have asked you first. Mine is his missing, broken, lost, mis-documented line whose errors have been cloned 10,000 times. Sorry, that's not really fair. If I'd stayed involved 20 years ago, I'd have a right to complain, rather than humbly accepting some of the responsibility. Our Wm. Henry Kidd (b 1831), had 2 sons, the youngest Simpson Rawls Kidd (b 1859 m Francis Louella "Ella" Dabbs), had 3 sons, the middle son Simpson DuBose Kidd (Sr)(b 1886) - is where it all breaks down. Simpson DuBose Kidd (Sr) - was called "DuBose", as a child. In the SRKIDD 1900 census he appears as "Debose age 14". (I need to see the York SC 1890 census for SRKIDD). SDKIDD(Sr) was my grandfather. He left York SC at age 16, with his 13 year old bride (Elizabeth "Bessie" McElwee) and moved to East Point GA. I've only recently seen any of SDKIDD(Sr) and Bessie's seven children documented (but with errors). I grew up knowing all of them (my aunts and uncles, who have passed now) and their children. I suspect that one of my cousins, or their children, may have taken an interest and started documenting our line. I'm learning to appreciate census data despite its shortcomings. My opinion is that "family" sources are best, so my eyes are drawn to anyone who seems to have unique information. Where did Wm. Henry Kidd's "Havelan" come from? - You were the first I knew to mention it. My most complete and condensed source is a 2 page letter to my mother written in 1957 by Addie Christine Kidd (m. Dallas B. Richardson) showing b/m/d dates of her brothers and sisters, parents/aunts/uncles, and paternal grandparents. It very closely matched the internet info I found in 1995 written by "thomas6" (David Thomas?) who was another great grandson of SR/Ella Kidd. Anyway, I'm back at it now, ready to "eat the elephant one bite at a time". I'll join Ancestry soon, but am a Archives member for 3 more weeks. I lived in Atlanta, GA my first 27 years, moved around Denton County TX for 35 years, and have been in south Fort Worth, TX for 1 year (near Benbrook).

Dead tired, gotta go. Your turn - Harry yearmonth

Corp Wm H Kidd #16671059
Dear Pat,
If it were not for the notes you added to Corp William Henry Kidd's (16671059) grave, regarding his wife and daughter (who's names I instantly recognized), I would not have made the connection. Curiously enough, I found in my paper files a post on GenForum from 'Pat' dated July 2000, inquiring about W H KIDD. I plan on visiting his grave this Saturday for a Memorial Day celebration at Murphy Cemetery. He was my x-x-grandfather. Would you be willing to share notes or discuss some time?
Harry J. Kidd

My mother, dad and grandfather are buried in Valley View Cemetery. I see that you manage all the Sparkman's in Era Cemetery. They are all in my tree. Would you consider giving over management of them to me? I will add in all the links to mothers, fathers, children and spouses. All the information I have on them. I have 11600 in my tree.

Rex Cauble
Hi Pat

I see that you have a request for a photo of Rex Cauble's cemetery marker/monument and the requests dates back to December of 2009. Do you still need the photo? As you may or may not know, Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) is very picky about the information they give out. If you could contact them via this link:

request exactly where Rex is buried, and then add then add that information to your request (or send it to me), it will make it easier to find his marker. The request goes to Sandra Mauney in Research & Records.

We are trying to find a picture of Elsie's grave stone.
Her sister Ruth passed away and Elsie is also listed on a stone beside her in Clear Creek Cementary Monroe Co. Indiana. We are trying to find a picture of her Texas grave stone for our family records.

Ralph Franks
Joseph S Franks
Pat, You created memorial number 53058490 and he is part of our Franks family tree back in Tennessee. We were not aware of any records for him except for his name before I found the memorial for him and his wife. I am inquiring in an attempt to learn if he had children or any other family that can be added to the family tree. Any bits of information that you might would be appreciated. Thank You, Ralph Franks,
