Charles Church

The correct Charles Church is already linked to his parents. The one you are wishing to link is not correct.

Giving Ahead
If you are on Maui you have a wonderful chance to give forward by recording the local cemeteries.

I've been in Hawaii only six weeks, and the first two weeks were before I knew about FindaGrave. In those next four weeks I have entered roughly thirteen cemeteries, and in some of them I am the only contributor. And will be forever, I would guess, as at least two are no longer being used.

I'll bet you a pineapple against a Kansas steak that you can find a cemetery that is neglected and needs entering. I'll give much better odds of you are willing to drive to Hana. :>)

I just recalled that I have spent another few days in Hawaii on a cruise. I have always felt that was the correct way to begin to enjoy the Islands. The remainder of our visits, as described above, were to the Big Island.

Daniel Harrison
RE: Harrison's
Margaret, I have been tracking down the three young William H Harrison's from Carroll Co MO further. William No 1 is in the 1870 census of Carroll Co with wife Mary and daughter Nancy. He is the son of William and Nancy Harrison and is too young to be your ancestor. William No 3 is in CA with wife Labina. I believe that he is the son of William H and Judith Harrison who also reside in CA in 1870. This family migrated to CA about 1856. I believe that their young son William at about the age of 15 traveled to CA with them and he is the one married to Labina. William No 3 is in Carroll Co in 1870 and is single. Also in Carroll Co in 1870 are Benjamin and Elizabeth Harrison whom I believe to be the parents of William No 3. I have absolutely no proof of these relationships, just suppositions, so anything is possible. I believe William No 3 winds up in Dutch Mills, AR, and is buried there next to Benjamin and Elizabeth Harrison whom I assume to be his parents. Both William No 2 and William No3 were born in Carroll Co, MO in 1841, thus much uncertainty. I did recently discover that William No 3, whom I assumed to be single and childless, signed a Civil War pension application as William H Harrison, Sr. So he may have been married after all and must have had at least one child , William H Harrison, Jr. and possibly other children. This probably doesn't help you much, but take it for what it's worth.

RE: Harrison's
Margaret, After having looked at your ancestry tree, I believe that you may want to look more closely at William H Harrison, Jr, son of William Harrison, brother to Ben Harrison. As far as I can tell, William H Harrison son of Ben Harrison never left the Oklahoma and Arkansas areas after moving from Missouri, never married and never had children. Thanks

Margaret, Mr George Miller ( (another cousin of ours), in Oklahoma, probably has the most info on our Harrison family. He is descended from Benjamin B Harrison/Robert A. Harrison/Addie Belle Harrison Miller.I would like to see the photos if could let me know where to see them. Thanks.

RE: Harrison's
Margaret, I will share what I have found and hope this helps. The William H Harrison's of Carroll Co., MO are somewhat confusing, as you have discovered. Wm H Harrison I (my gr gr gr grandfather) was in Adair Co KY prior to Carroll Co. I show him with three children for sure; Mary, b abt 1800 in Adair Co(married John Squires); William H Harrison II, b abt 1801 Adiar Co; and Benjamin b aby 1812 Adair Co (my gr gr grandfather). William H Harrison II shows up in the 1840 and 1850 census of Carroll Co MO. He has a son, William H Harrison III b abt 1841 Carroll Co MO. William H Harrison II and his wife Judith and children appear to migrate to California in the mid-1850's. I have not found William and Judith in any 1860 census, but they appear in the 1870 census of Sonoma Co CA. Judith appears alone in the 1880 census of Sonoma Co CA, so William H Harrison II must have died between 1870 and 1880 in that area. I find William H Harrison III living with wife Labina(Sarina?) and with son George in 1900 Los Angels Co CA. William and Labina also appear in the 1910 census of Los Angeles Co CA. Somewhere I have found that William H Harrison died in 1922 and Labina died in 1915 and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles Co. I show William and Labina having four children; Charles, Nellie and Hattie, all born in Iowa, and George, b abt 1882 in CA. I am guessing that Labina was married prior to a marriage to William H Harrison III. George appears to have had at least two children, George M b abt 1908 in CA and William H born abt 1910 in CA. My grandfather Robert Austen Harrison also had a brother named William H Harrison and born in Carroll Co MO, but I have found no record of a marriage for him nor any children. There are at least two other unaccounted for William Harrison's in Carroll Co MO between 1850 and 1860 and I have not been able to discover whether or not they belong to my Harrison family. If your family fits into any of the above, I hope it helps you, and if so, hello cousin!

Wm & Winifred Harrison
Hello Margaret, I am going to send you and edit to move the memorial # 50005249 for Winifred (Hancock) Harrison to "Big Adkins Cemetery". If you will reference your message from Daniel Harrison, he is correct. I'm 100% sure that both Winifred and her husband William Henry Harrison are interred in Big Adkins. William's memorial was made by my, now deceased, sister, Linda Stephenson. She, in error, posted it to Little Adkins. I am in the process of requesting management of my sister's memorials, and as soon as that comes through, I will be moving William's to Big Adkins. Daniel is correct, there are two cemeteries just a few miles apart, one being Big Adkins, the other Little Adkins. Hoping to get them both 'home' soon. Thank you so much, "Each Day Counts", Loretta

Adkins Cemetery Carroll Co MO
Many years ago I visited the gravesite of Wm H Harrison in Carroll Co MO. I am sure that the Photos which I took of his, Wninifred Harrison's, and Joseph Adkin's headstones were all in the same cemetery. There are two Adkins cemeteries in Carroll Co MO, not far from each other. I believe that I took the photos in what was called the Greater Adkins Cemetery. It had a church and church yard attached to it. Now when I search for Wm H Harrison, he comes up in the Adkins Family Cemetery, so I added Joseph Adkins memorial to that cemetery. Now I am thinking that all three memorials may be in the wrong cemetery. Can anyone help me out with this? Thank You.

Hello? okay i did some reading, he has a few relatives there. Im assuming they are all in the same cemetery since they are a very religious and close family. the Christorina is probably his step grandmother. His real grandmother is Mary Benetiz died 2-15-1947. his greatgranfather is Jacinto Souza Balthazar and his wife Maria Philomena De Lima. There might also be a Mae Balthazar 1929-1975, James Sabas Balthazar 1934-1998, Emil William Balthazar 1924-1988, and *Frank S Balthazar 1919-1973. Again Thanks for your help :)

RE: Balthazar Request..
Wow, yes I believe those are all his relatives. i know that jospeph would be his grandfather. And I know (only from a letter sent to my husband)his grandmother died when his dad was a child so the christorina that i thought was his grandmother couldnt have been if she passed in 1983. Im going to find the letter that was written to him and re-read it and see if ive missed anything. Its very hard to do this since my husband lived in Hawaii when he was a child and then was sent to live with his mother in Wa. so the memories he has are very few. His aunt had wrote him a letter when his father passed in 1991. anyway thank you very much for your help.

I am happy to help where I can. I am a member of NEHGS, so I have access to their vast array of records particular to the New England area, including Massachusetts vital records. So, if you have something I can look up for you, I am happy to do so.
