RE: Calvary cemetery
Hi, I received a photo request a few days after starting my account and when I went to the cemetery page it showed a lot of other requests that hadn't been filled yet. So, I thought I'd fill them all while I'm out there. It's been raining on and off this past week and going to rain more this week. I've been waiting until the mosquitoes weren't so bad, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. I'm going to try to get over there on Wed in between storms.

baby boy Steffens
I looked thru the whole cemetery and there is no head stone for Steffens, baby boy. He must be buried in the family plot.

Steck/Trower/Bolen connection
Barbara Trower Steck was a fourth cousin to my mother in the Cupps family, although I never knew anything about that family until just the past month. Her father's middle name was Cupps, which was his mother's maiden name.

If I added any pics for you it would likely have been here in Montana, although possibly in Western PA or central OH.

Lodema (Weeks) Flower Shaw photo req.
I just posted photos of the stone for "Lodemia"--spelling inscribed on her stone. Unfortunately, the stone is broken and only two pieces were found. The death date piece was visible but the top piece with her name was mostly buried under dirt. Her stone is under low growing branches of a weedy tree which may account for the erosion of dirt that buried the top of her stone. -Judi

Carolyn Korbel
You are missing Adelaide/Adelheid from the list of children of Bertha and Anton Haus. She was born on October 5, 1905. She was a nun, Sr. Mary Hubert, OSB. She entered the novitiate at St. Benedict's convent on June 16, 1927, and made first vows on July 11, 1928. She was a teacher and school principal, suffered terribly from migraines, and died on July 1, 1980. Information collected by me from her nieces and nephews, the children of her sister, Mathilda (Haus) Mayerhofer. I have several photos of her, if you'd like to contact me. I also have quite a few other Haus photos.

I finally have time to clean up my email, I have some requests from you for transfers that go quite a way back for Shakopee Catholic Cemetery. I am not related to anyone there, so I am transferring to you.

Roe Cemetery
Several months ago I went to the Roe cemetery and photograph every remaining stone in that very small area.
I placed all the photos that were legible to the appropriate memorials and the rest of the remaining shattered pieces of stone were unidentifiable.
This gravesite was once filled with many stones, but now its a wreck. None of the stones have been maintained and the cemetery itself is very run down.
The cemetery is a very small plot of land which is sandwiched between 2 homes on a suburban street.

I will make it a point to return to this cemetery in a few weeks and take quick video of this site for future volunteers. I really don't think it will continue to withstand the test of time.
