RE: Pensacola updates
That's great. So many of them are buried in St Johns.
I have tried to list everyone on cemetery list and volunteers are working hard to get St Johns photographed.
Do you know what Mr Daniel's initials stand for?

Lilah Villar Cartter
Lilah was my Great Great Grandmother. Her daughter Elizabeth M Cartter-Gregory was my Great Aunt and I knew her until her death at age 103. Aunt Bea still had her full faculties and would always tell us stories of David Kellogg Cartter and Abraham Lincoln coming to the Cartter Ranch and of the Gregory house on Spring Street that was built for her as a wedding gift by Charles Gregory. My mother just passed on August 5, 2013 and was the Great Granddaughter of Dr. William Haynes Hanford Cartter and Eulalia Delilah "Lilah" (Villar) Cartter. My mother will be laid to rest sometime in the very near future with her Mother Lilah M Blachly, and Grandmother Lilah "Tottie" Cartter Maule. My brothers and family still live in the area (Wichita, Kansas). I was very luck to know all of my Aunts and Uncles.

RE: French Cemetery
Hi Betty,
I found these directions online. I hope it helps.

The French Memorial Cemetery, also known as the Old French Cemetery, is approached through private property.

From Trinity, Texas, go south 3.4 miles on State Highway 19 to Farm to Market Road 3453, (Pinecrest Road). Turn left and proceed 1.4 miles to the junction with Old Riverside Road, turn left, go 0.4 mile. A side road enters from the left, barred by a locked gate.

Taylor Cemetary
I just read your posting about the road to Taylor Cemetery. That makes me so sad to hear. I have not been back in there in several years. Ginny Arnold and I canvassed it for Trinity County Historical Society. The land already belonged to the YWCA Camp across the road. But we had no trouble opening the gate and getting down to it.
I think the County Commissioner for that Precinct should be notified and also the TCHC at the Trinity County Museum at 936 642 0242, Susanne Wallers hours there are Tuesday,Wed.,and Thursday 9-4.I don't know if a Cemetery Committee still exists but info could be gotten from Mr.Waltz if he is still alive or his Daughter Selma Rippey at James D.Rippey 170 Waltz Rd. 936-594 5295

RE: Rev Hugh O'Brien
Hey Betty, Always good to hear from you. Glad to hear that you've got the man's grave located. He had such a time didn't he? Almost planted in the paupers cemetery and then moved and moved again. We were happy to take a look at the Old Warrington Cemetery for you. A neighbor of ours was wanting to go out there to look for an ancestor of hers so we looked for the Reverend while she looked for her relation. Hope things go well for you and your dad. This has been a hot, hot, hot summer this year.

Re: Viola Gonzalez
You have a photo request for Viola Gonzalez in St. Michael's cemetery in Pensacola.
I am curious -- I took grave photos of Viola Gonzalez and the graves in the plot around hers --back in March.
The photos are still showing on Find-A-Grave as I just looked at them.
Is there a problem that needs to be reported to Find-A-Grave?
If you are not seeing the photos - there are 2. One is of the 4 or 5 graves in a row and then the top photo is the full slab picture of Viola's grave with the inscription.

Please let Find-A-Grave know if the photos aren't visible to you. A volunteer photographer has claimed this request and it will be a waste of time to find it already has pictures.
A Find-A-Grave glitch??!! Thanks! Linda D.
