I saw some of your posts on Find-a-grave memorials and I was wondering if you could help me since you're much more closely related to the Rush family than I am. Can you tell me whatever happened to Carrie, Percy, Ella and Myrtle Rush? I found the married names of the women but have not been able to find them on Find-a-grave. Do you have copies of obits you'd be willing to share? Also, on my tree I have an Earl P. Rush born about 1867 and a Percy born about 1872. Even though there is about a 5-year age difference, I'm wondering if they are the same person. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You're very welcome. I'm glad I could help. My apologies that the picture isn't any better. Abie Hettmansperger's marker is located at the ceiling of the mausoleum and I got the best photo I could with my camera.

I sent you the photos of both headstones - please consider them yours to distribute however you like. If you would like to post them to Eugene and Grace's memorials, go right ahead. If it's more convenient for me to do it for you, I would be happy to do so.
Take care and thanks for creating the nice memorials. The picture of the family is wonderful.

Would you mind putting the tombstone photo on Earl's site. No one had made him one so just did that. Thanks, geraldine

|N.L. Moore||Daniel Padrick of Rye Valley Oregon|
Hello again Judith, Just a note to thank you for the information about Shelbyville Gen. Library. I contacted them and immediately received copies of the pages pertaining to Daniel of Rye Valley. While The Padrick Story did not contain a birth record, I feel confident that the tie is there.
I corresponded with Doreen Cyrus Rose, a cousin, in Oregon in 1989-1992 or so. She was most generous with the Portland Padrick information and was a careful researcher amassing a great deal of Padrick information. When I saw that she had contributed to The Padrick Story, I realized that there must be a tie to Indiana. Doreen has played a major role in bringing the Padrick information together. We owe her a big thank you.
I apologize for questioning the research of others, but have been disappointed by so many using the census only for research. Thank you again. I believe we must be "cousins."

|N.L. Moore||Daniel Padrick 84285294 died 1884 Oregon|
Thank you for the reply. Meant NC--was sleepy!! Am sending this from Normand's Find A Grave site. I am an unpaid secretary. haha my site (GLLinmanMoore).
I will try to contact the Shelbyville Gen. Library if I can find their address or telephone No.
Important to know what year the book was written, what documentation other than census or word of mouth, and how close the family ties of the author were to Daniel of Oregon. I tried to find a Shelbyville obit for a sibling which might mention our Daniel, but he wasn't named in anything I saw.
We need to get this cleared up. Not only do we need good documentation before we accept that Daniel of Shelby Co. was our Oregon Daniel's father, but need to salvage his reputation. So many of the family trees have him married and divorced 3-4 times! Very busy for a man who came to Oregon and settled down to farming in a remote area of Oregon and raised 12 children (including Norm's grandmother). Thank you again for responding. Louise

My husband's Grt.Grt.Grandfather was Isaac, and son Albert was his Grt.Grandfather 😊. What is your lineage, Judith? Maybe we can compare notes?

You're welcome. My great-great grandmother (mother's side) was a Colclazier. I have many family connections on both the maternal and paternal sides in Shelby County. My family has owned and operated a farm on Morristown Rd. for about 200 years.
