I have Genoa's maiden name as Howlett. She married a Phillips first and had a son, Jerry Phillips, then married Clyde Dawson in 1941. I am curious as to why you think her maiden name is Pigg? Thank you for posting and maintaining these names and pictures. This is a great service to those of us who live far away. Ginny

|wvy||John Young memorial, #96591649|
Thank you for posting the above memorial; it's in Wadesville Cem. and I know you probably can't tell me anything more than you've posted, but I've looked for a "John Young" b. about then, and came from AL to Indian Terr. before 1900, my grandmother's 1st husband, and he died in this area; one preacher said he could take his son to his grave (the son was small when his fth d.) and this preacher was all over Latimer/LeFlore Counties in the area, (b. 1880). He d. before any relatives could ask him.
Do you know if anyone has a list of the names in this cemetery? Since the stone is broken, I'm thinking it could be an old grave. This man's widow remarried in 1899, and on her m/l she lived at "Wall" LeFlore Co. I'm not familiar with the locations, but hoping you might know something, or someone I could ask. Thanks, winnie

|Rebecca||RE: Noah Cemetery|
Thank you for your quick and gracious reply, and for the work you are doing for so many families. I would be happy to manage any of my family's memorials that you would like to transfer--I see that you have many to manage--but I don't feel the need to control memorials posted by others, as long as the information I see on them is accurate. So I will leave it up to you.
I am setting aside time this week to upload many family photos for archiving and will set aside those that would be appropriate to add to the sites. If you have any questions about Noah family facts, feel free to contact me, as I will be happy to provide documented sources to clear up any misunderstandings.
Thank you again,

My name is Rebecca Noah Cooper, and I am very pleased to meet you here on findagrave. I have been working on my family tree on ancestry.com since 2001 and have enjoyed meeting family and friends from Oklahoma that I had previously only known through the family tree given to me by my aunt Hilda Rountree. It was my intention to continue what she had begun, but what I initially viewed as a hobby has become a labor of love--a way of keeping in touch with those I knew and loved who have crossed over and even getting to know those who departed before I was born. Although I was born in Albion and enjoyed spending time visiting my grandparents there throughout my childhood, I never studied the history of the Choctaw Nation or understood the roles that my ancestors had played in settling the area until Auntie's tree inspired me to learn more.
Thank you for adding pages for some of my family members. I have extensive official documentation and can provide you with more details and photos of Aunt Hilda and Uncle Ed if you would like. I have contacted another person about corrections that need to be made for several people on sites s/he has posted, but have not gotten a reply yet.
I look forward to meeting you in person the next time I am in the area.

Thanks, so much for recording to Find A Grave the above memorial in Wadesville, Cem. He could be my GM's 1st husband. He d. in the area before 1899, sometime, between 1894, (last kid b. AL) and the time his widow remarried.
Do you know anyone down there who might get a photo of the broken stone... does it look old? any other markings? I appreciate you posting what you could. But I'm running out of places to look. His year of birth is so close, and I've looked so many places...this is nagging at me. My email address is posted on my profile, if you want to privately email me. I would appreciate any reply.

|Jodie Brown||Savelle in Howland Twp|
I walked the cemetery and the only stone I saw with Savelle I posted to Joseph Savelle. It had only the last name and nothing else. I can delete it if you think this is not your Joseph and Irene. I am not sure. That cemetery has hundreds of graves that are not listed on findagrave and I tried to take as many pictures as I could (adding some memorials as I went along) until my phone died.
