RE: Re:Verda Woods Photos
The picture is yours to use, her space is at the very top and not easy to get a good shot, but turned not to bad.

RE: Re:Myrtle Morgan in Burlingame Cemetery
Thank you for your help as well as your persistence. I assume you found her parents in the area adjacent to her. A cousin told me that there are two "section 1s," making it a bit confusing.

Thanks again!

RE: Myrtle Morgan in Burlingame Cemetery
You also state that neither C P Morgan nor Mrs. CP Morgan are there, and that's just impossible, because their tombstones there have already been photographed. You can see the photos on their memorial pages. C P is #19113691, and Mrs. C P is #19123047. Perhaps you should check your map for "Section 1st Addition" as Mr. Brown wrote it, rather than section one. Or vice versa. I think when you find them, you'll find Myrtle. Their tombstone photos weren't taken all that long ago.

Thanks for your efforts!

RE: Myrtle Morgan in Burlingame Cemetery
Apparently there used to be a tombstone for Myrtle, because Mr. Brown, who first wrote her memorial page, noted the inscription on her page. What he wrote was a synopsis of one of the 2 obituaries I have for her which explicitly states she was buried at Burlingame Cemetery.

RE: Myrtle Morgan in Burlingame Cemetery
I'm not sure I understand you. You admit Myrtle's name is on the plat map. I also have a copy of an old "Osage County cemeteries" record which states that accoding to her IR (interrment record) she was buried in Sec 1, lot 47, space 1 of Burlingame cemetery. How do you know that she wasn't buried without a tombstone? In 1894 just 2 yeas before her death, she was known to be living with her parents, Calvin Peter Morgan and Priscilla Jane Milligan Morgan, all residing in Burlingame. Myrtle never married, and she died of typhoid at the age of just 21, with both her parents still living. In fact, I have her obituary, and it ends with, "The funeral was held at the M.E. church, of this place, at 3 o'clock last Saturday afternoon, Rev. Madison officiating, after which the remains were interred in the Burlingame cemetery...

So, I'm sorry if the space looks empty, but I'm sure it's not.

I'll check to make sure her obituary is on her memorial page, and if not, I'll post it!
