Pamela Smith
Johnson Cemetery
Hi Connie,
Please change William Adams's military record to read Union not CSA. I'm sure I gave you the wrong info as that was what I was told, however I have his papers and definately Union service.

Thanks, Pam Smith

James Albert Adams
There are two memorials for him, one needs to be deleted, one even reads no stone although a photo of the stone has been posted. One is under James Albert and the other Albert.

Albert Adams
This has to be son of John Henry Adams. His full name was James Albert Adams and he was born 14 Jun 1874, Cass County, Missouri and he died 7 Nov 1881 in Cass County, Missouri. Please add this information. Thanks. Jim

Bo Anderson
Jesse Vineyard
This is Bo again. I was just reviewing the parents and children of Jesse Vineyard. Here is some information you might want to add and link to Jesse:

1) He was born on September 29, 1808 in Kentucky.

2) His father was William Vineyard (1781-1822) -Findagrave Memorial #49573618

3) His mother was Elizabeth Vineyard (1787-1822) - Findagrave Memorial #49573575

4) His second son was John Nathaniel Vineyard (b. June 10, 1844 d. October 1. 1872) - Findagrave Memorial #18207144

5) His first daughter was Nannie Barbee Vineyard (b. October 10, 1845 d. January 13, 1847) - Findagrave Memorial #57828212. You have this child listed as "? Vineyard" (unknown - 1817) under Findagrave Memorial #18207140. Old photos of the graveyard before the stone was broken can verify this.

6) His second daughter was Mary Catherine "Katie" Vineyard Cunningham (1848-1934) - Findagrave Memorial #18206155

7) Katie Vineyard's husband was Henry Clay Cunningham (1848-1915) - Findagrave Memorial #18206152

8) His third son was Brice Taylor Vineyard (1849-1866) - Findagrave Memorial #18207141.

9) As I mentioned before, there is no "Bridget Vineyard." That mistake was created by the fact that Brice T. Vineyard has two tombstones at Pleasant Ridge, the original one so eroded now it looks like "Bridget" instead of "Brice T."

Bridget Vineyard
Dear Connie,

There has been a mistake. Jesse Vineyard and his wife, Mary S. Owens, never had a daughter named Bridget. The error occurs because Jesse's and Mary's son, Brice Taylor Vineyard (d. Feb. 6, 1866), has two tombstones. The original broke in half and was replaced with a second one. Problem is that the original top of the tombstone was never removed and has become embedded into the ground. The inscription on the older original tombstone has eroded away, so that now "Brice T." looks like "Bridget". As a result, this entry should be deleted. There never was a "Bridget Vineyard."

I am the great-great-grandson of Ellen Mitchell Owens Williams, the younger sister of Mary Smith Owens Vineyard. I carefully examined the tombstones this summer in Weston.

Sincerely,

Bo Anderson

J.F. Annen
RE: Emma Bowman Annen
Connie: I am sorry but I do not have any pictures of that family. Wilhelm Annen her husband was my Dads brother, and he was the oldest child in the John Annen family. All of their children have passed away now and I have no idea who might have any pictures. My Dad left Mansfield area I think about 1913 and others in family moved to Castro County TX in about 1916. I havent done much research on Emma. It was so sad to see tha Wilhelm passed away in 1919 and youngest son was born in 1918. There has to be a sad story there if you knew it all. I did find her living with one of her brothers in later census. Wish I could help but pictures seem to disappear. I am sure a lot of them get thrown away because later on people dont know who they are.

I photographed all the markers that we saw at Saint Patricks Cemetery. We have records of two who are buried there, but they have no markers.

RE: Sarah Bowman
Connie,

I didn't mention this in my original reply, but added it in the caption with the photo.

Lexington Cemetery didn't open until 1849. With the Bowman's death dates being before then, they would have been buried elsewhere and moved. The Cemetery's data base gives their burial dates as 1912. Do you know where they might have been before then?

Transfers you asked for are completed.

If you want to go to the cemetery, let us know, and Doug and I will be glad to have you follow us out there. We had a difficult time finding it...and you have to drive through a farmer's field to get there.

Let us know if you want us to show you where it is, and we will be glad to assist!!

RE: opal hill
Thank you so much for the reply. I really meant the charge applied to the bio that I hoped to read. But since you took the extra mile, then thank you. It will help all of us out there. Who knows you may find that we are related somewhere. I had Hillhouse family, and somewhere at sometime some of them shortened the name to Hill.
