Hi Steven
I thought you may want to consider something I have found. The grave site in Vienna, is very close to were I live, 20 min max. Consider an easy mistake on 141918965. ( 1798) I believe to be a 3 not an 8 and (d.1867) to be a 2 not a 7. This is the only Thomas Edison in the St Luke's Anglican Cemetery

This is the web page.

I hope you do not mind. I see you have done a lot of hard work on different findagrave's and just want to help.

Thank you
James M.

RE: Samuel Edison, Age 103
I understand what you are saying. Half the public trees use the Tombstone to get the birthdate of 1762, and half use the 1861 census birth date of 1768. I noticed the Canada Genweb Cemetery Index site, used the tombstone to determine birthdate as 1762. I guess it is just a personal decision.
Sincerely, Eileen

Hi Steven,
I believe that they are buried in the Haldimand - Norfolk region of Ontario. The problem is that there are many small cemeteries and it may take a while to pin down the exact location.

All the best,
Susan Barbara

William's death was registered in the March quarter of 1846 - he was buried on 19th January 1846. William was my husband's fourth great grand uncle.

I have walked and re-walked St. Johns in search of Phoebe's grave. There is No listings for Lee and only one headstone for Davis. I can send you a photo if you wish.

I have met with the person who keeps the church records and cemetery this morning and we have searched in all the church papers and there is not Phoebe Davis Lee ever recorded as being buried there. This includes searching plots with and without headstones.

Interesting in the search I came across a Phoebe Lee 1820-1899 who was the wife of William H Lee buried in Northfield Cemetery which is in Brant County, Ontario. I wonder if there is perhaps a generation error in the dates you have or if this Phoebe may be same name new generation and might lead you to more specific clues in your genealogy research.

St. John's is adamant she is not buried there. If you have any documentation that supports different and wish to share that with me I can do a track at City Hall records and see if I can find anything new for you.

Hilton memorials
Hello, a while ago you asked for the transfer of Alexander Hilton. Came across the email today and I have done so, along with his wife and two children. Homer

Happy to do that for you. I also included the photo for Jonathan Dowling, who is in the same lot as Capt. Thomas Dowling. I believe he is his brother, based on the birth and death dates. Woodland is a great historic cemetery (1853).

RE: Rev William Doak
I can't understand why anyone would want to keep or possess photographs of gravestones of strangers. I do provide photographs to the Canada Cemetery Project and it is their policy to mark them as "copyright". That aside, when I provide a photograph or photographs, they become your property. You own them and can whatever you want with them. The Rev. Doak gravestone is no exception. You can do whatever you want with it. It's now yours to keep. You own it. Seems reasonable to me.

Any time. Not a problem. The cemetery is almost behind the Metro grocery store so I just take a short detour.

You're welcome! I think that's an awesome idea to put the records somewhere that people can have access to them. Even though they are private business records, they hold a lot of information that can be so useful to people researching their family history.

RE: Ethel J. Hamblen Hahn
I will have to see what I can find. The funeral home was Kirk & Nice. It's hard to read on the death certificate so I had to do some digging and make a few phone calls. I'll let you know what I find out. Here's a link to the info:

RE: Ethel J. Hamblen Hahn
Wow! I never knew that!! So now you can just change her burial location to Union cemetery,

and she will be in her appropriate "final resting place"! I was able to track down the funeral home that handled the arrangements. They've been taken over by a new company (not surprisingly, after all this time!) and they handed their old records over to the PA State Archives. I had contacted the Pennsylvania Public Archives and the records are there. I had planned on stopping by there too look next time I was in that area, but I guess now I don't have to!! I'm glad this is resolved and she's been "found" :)

RE: Andrew Hilton
Hi Steven,

I am not related to the Hilton family. I simply read part of the cemetery that included their markers and uploaded the data to Find a Grave.

Sorry I can't be of any assistance.

I will eventually get the cemetery cards posted, but as the are PNG instead of JPG images, I will have to convert them to get the uploaded at the memorials.
