RE: your message
No problem - just trying to help get as much info straight as we can. It takes all of us!! Right?

This is one of the websites. There is no photo to compare but if he is your family I was hoping you would have proof. This is all I have. There is another website done by a different person with the 1922 date also.

He isnot related to me - just noticed the discrepancy and wanted to let you know that it might need some further investigation.

Leah Hubbard
PUTERBAUGHS
I just got a note back saying that the headstones for the babies born to Orlando & Katie Puterbaugh are not there. The only headstone is for Katie & Orlando and that is already posted. Is there any way in the BIO section you could put 'no headstone available' so others won't request them?

Thank you so very much.

Leah

RE: Luella Esther Waybrant
Luella is my maternal grandmother. I am very interested in any history or geneaology information that you may know or have about the Whitcomb/Waybrant families. Pictures are wonderful. Thanks for your help.

Hi, helping others with their family history is one of the most enjoyable parts to genealogy, I am so glad i helped you. I have been collecting obits and death records for Oceana Co., Mich. since 1997 so I've accumulated over 400 pages of them and decided a few weeks ago to see if i could get as many as possible into memorials. Many don't say where they are buried so i can't do those along with the old death records dating back to the 1800's. Good luck with your research. Sharon

Turnbull
I went out to the Newport, WA cemetery with the caretaker yesterday to take your Turnbull and DuChane photos. Clara, Grant and baby Turnbull are shown as buried there, but there is no marker for any of them.

I visited the Westmond cemetery, in Sagle, ID a year or two ago and there are 22 Turnbulls buried there. The kiosk also has a photo of one of them and an article about the founding Turnbulls. If you find that you are related to those Turnbulls, as well, you can find more info on them by Googling the name.

RE: Jacob Puterbaugh
Yes I am related to Jacob Puterbaugh, his daughter Elizabeth married Thomas Lenard Matthews. Jacob would be my 4th great grandfather.

RE: Plont
It is a very small and open cemetery and I did not see any other Plont graves while I was there. I do have the name of the lady in charge of the cemetery and have been told that she has a list of names that she is willing to share. I will let you know when I hear from her. -Lisa

Finnish Cemetery on Drummond Island, Michigan
I am putting up some pictures of John W. Laakso and Miina Laakso Koskela that I took years ago. I noticed that the two on line have lots of mossy looking stuff on them. I'll let the family know about that so it doesn't ruin the stones.

RE: Plont Graves
I was glad to do it for you but sorry they were in such bad shape, yes it is so upsetting to see a cemetery and headstones in such disrepair. It is so sad when the headstones are unreadable. Wish we could put new headstones up. I did that for my grandparents down in the Ferry Twp. cemetery in Oceana Co., Mich.

I wish I could have gotten a better photo of Grace's marker, but it was very hard to read.
Good luck with your research.

Plont in Sacred Heart
I have the photos you requested for Merl & George, I will post them later tonight, however they are not in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden, they are in Saint John's in Wallingford. You'll need to change the cemetery info. Luckily Sacred Heart administrates St. John's so they had the info and it wasn't much trouble to find them.
