You are welcome. I remember Betty Faith from Newton County High School and what a great basketball player she was. Her grandmother was my mother's brother's wife's sister. Now that was a mouthful!

|Elizabeth Williams Pugh||Fannie B Dorsey|
I checked the Monroe-Walton Library and found the Obit for Fannie Elizabeth Burson Dorsey. It listed all of the children of Pinkie & Fannie as being present at her funeral, except for Willie Mae Alma & Henry Edgar. Williams-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. One thing of interest was that Bessie was married to a Sammons and living in St Petersburg, Florida.

Could you please correct the death month from June to July. the marker states that she died in July.
Fannie was a Burson before marriage to John henry Dorsey. Her Father was James Scott Burson & mother was Marilda A Williams. They both are buried at Mt Creek. I have no death date for her Mother. No one seem to know exactly where she died if it was Walton or Gwinnett. Marilda's father was Alexander W Williams and he is buried at Bay Creek.
The Monroe-Walton Library in the Heritage Room has a copy (2 books) of all the cemeteries in Walton County if you are interested. It helps when they are not on Find A Grave. Since the records for Mt Creek Baptist Church burned up when lightening struck the Church.

Thanks for getting the two memorials combined. Like you said I also had been unable to find a memorial on him until you did yours and then when you added the birthday the other one showed up. "Alls well that ends well", as the old saying goes. Thanks again, Patricia Richardson Tillman

Yes, put the last name in the surname box. Her surname becomes her maiden name when she marries and takes her husband's name.

Hello, I do have close ups of the marker, I will add them here for you pretty quickly (I actually thought I did add the extras already!) I want to tell you, it was very hard to read, even in person. If you don't like those pics, I will gladly go back again!! Also I plan to go back anyway, if I can catch someone at the church that may have a listing of the plots and names. I walked all over, but according to the info I had (presumably from you) I found his parents, but no sign of the baby. He could be there with no marker, also many of the older markers were in bad shape, and/or vandalized !! Perhaps his marker was vandalized as well. I will attempt to find out, and let you know.:D
PS I forgot to let you know that I added a better pic for you for Lovic Dorsey. The gravestone has been repaired and I thought you might want a pic of it for your records. I f you need something else please just ask and I'll do my best!!

I am getting ready to add the photo of the grave marker for Mr. Dimsdale and his wife and thought you might want to add the dates on his page. Birth -- October 25, 1877 and death November 19, 1942. Wife: Dora L. Dimsdale.

Hey you are more than welcome about the photos. I transferred them over to you. My family isn't related except as maybe distant cousins. Hand is a very common name here in the town I live in. Its called Hazlehurst now but it use to be know as Hand Town. I wouldn't at all be surprised if you found a lot more in this area your children are related to. If there is any other photos you would like just let me know and I will see about taking them for you.
