|David Bays||Lewis Gene Milner|
Hi Marsha. Do you have any information about the spouse (s) of Lewis Gene Milner (1925-1971), father of Tammy Jeanine. I have no name or dates. Thanks.

Thank you very much. Normally I wouldn't ask to have a news article posted to a memorial but this was an exception. To find anything about a babies death in 1889 is a rare find. In the article Craft & Baxter is the mortuary and Mr. Jennings is a professional photographer. I realized that when reading other news articles.

|Susan||RE: Emery Van Nortwick|
Emery Van Nortwick was my mother's uncle. His wife was Esther Morehead Van Nortwick. They also had a son, David Elmer Van Nortwick.
Emery's parents were Simon and Annie (Featherstone) Van Nortwick. Anna was born in England and came with her parents at the age of 5.
Simon's parents were John Van Nortwick & Sarah Wilson.
John's parents were John B Van Nortwick and Maria Brokaw.
John B's parents were Isaac Van Nortwick and Jeannetje Sebring.
Isacc's parents were Folkert Van Nortwick and Janete
Folkert's parents were Simeon (Symon) Van Nortwyck and Folkease DeWitt.
Simeon's parents were Adrianus Van Nortwick and Cornelia Van Wesel. (many spellings of the names)
Adrianus Van Nortwick was a Dutch Reform Minister and he died in the Netherlands. Cornelia remarried (another minister) and brought the children to America.

|David Bays||RE: Anona W. Owens Milner|
A "Milner Schoolhouse" photograph? I may have a lead for you if we are talking about the Milner Family I'm familiar with from Republic Co., KS. These Milner folk settled in or near Republic City, Big Bend Township, Republic Co., KS.
Kathryn Gile runs the Scandia Library (913/335-2271). She is quite a gal. And she has photographs of most all the country schools and all the churches. If you are not certain about the school name she can trace the closest school to the townships' section where the Milners homesteaded in the 1880's or even later.
Its worth a phone call.

Thanks for getting the requested headstone pics so quickly. They turned out great. I wondered if you would allow me to use them in my family research (with credit, of course)? Gail

|G.B. Shamblin||RE: Mary Hudson Headstone|
I took a picture of all stones in this cemetery and would be happy to share them with you, the ones I couldnt make out as well as the ones blank from years of weather and deterioation. I also got some nice shots of the cemetery itself which I will post along with all the ones I could identify. You're very welcome, the farmer(Cain) said that some people use to come out and take care of it but hadn't seen them in a long time.

|E. Mickelson||Newell Photo Request|
I fulfilled your photo requests for Lee and Lillie Newill, but am unhappy with the quality of the photo. I didn't notice that the stone was in partial shade until processing the photo to upload to Findagrave. I'll try again next time I'm in the cemetery, probably in a few days. Hopefully, I can replace this photo with a better one shortly.

|Mary E. Warner||Peter and Eleanor Johnson|
Marcia, please go to Memorials #52500186 (Peter) and #52500173 (Eleanor). Delete your flower message and replace with a flower of your choice. We cannot have biographical information on flower messages. I just received Peter and Eleanor's memorials and have placed our three messages within the biog.
Thanks from your Cousin.
Have you been able to get permission to upload any of those wonderful photos?

You are most welcome, glad you like them. I enjoy photography and usually take pictures of the area to give a feeling for the area. I know I like to see more than the grave marker when I request a photo, especially when I know I'll never see the grave myself.
I just saw there is a second Milner grave in the same section, Virgil M. Milner. I don't know if he is related but I need to go back and try again to find a grave I couldn't find earlier in the week. While I'm there I'll take a photo of Virgil's marker and upload it next week. It does take me a while to get to the cemetery then edit the photos for upload, so give me a little extra time. Have a great weekend - Nancy
