RE: Thank you!-Deal-Gist
Now I am on board.

The Deal-Gist (or sometimes known as Daugherty-Deal-Gist) is located on private land about a mile south of the oil field gate from the highway near 1101 Hodges, Poolville, TX. It is in a grove of trees off a gently sloping hillside. It is not part of any other cemetery, and is too small to be seen on Google Maps.

The cemetery is maintained by the Abandoned Cemetery Association of Parker County, PO Box 61, Weatherford, TX 76086 which accepts tax deductible donations for cemetery upkeep.

These are the only 4 marked graves in the cemetery that have names associated with the stones.

There are several upright fieldstone markers with no information on them, and a few grave depressions that are unmarked.

I did not realize there was no picture of the cemetery on Find A Grave. Should I have an opportunity to be there again, I will try to remember to take one.

RE: Thank you!
I am still not clear about names. There are only two George Bennett's in Find A Grave listed as buried in Parker County, TX. They are:

George David Bennett b. 9/12/1896 d. 8/8/1975 married to Viola (Barnett) Bennett b. 7/12/1929 d. 12/1/1990 both buried in Greenwood Community Cemetery.

George T. Bennett b. 4/23/1875 d. 8/4/1962 married to Lilly May Bennett b. 7/12/1875 d. 6/21/1955 both buried in East Greenwood Cemetery.

Neither of these gentlemen or spouses appear to be the persons about whom you are asking. I am not sure what I am missing in your question.

RE: Oswalt Cemetery
Connie, your name popped up for me...can't find original inquiry you made, but wanted to let you know I found 2 more graves in Oswalt Cemetery. They were in a grove away from others and unable to see. Unknown #123363639 and Phlorine Short #88704211. I originally had Phlorine in another cemetery, unmarked, due to funeral home record error

Hope this is who you were looking for. If you have additional info I can put on memorials, would love to!

RE: Oswalt Cemetery
You are welcome! Yes, the cemetery is very well maintained, thanks to Hester Reynolds. She is in her 90's and lives locally. Her late hubby is buried there and personally pays for the upkeep. I think he was related to the family.

If you have never been there and you
have the opportunity to visit, I highly recommend it. It is a very
Special, sweet place

Don't know how the families are connected, but we do have Easley's ....and more in Hardeman County
Laura Briete, Find A Grave volunteer has done work.

I'm on the board at our local cemetery and museum if may assist you.

That was quick - you must have been online while I was posting my latest pictures from Fort Sam... I'm glad that I could fulfill your request.

made a transfer to you Connie--Id love it if you would email me and tell me about your grandmother, her life or anything you might want to share about her life. If you are comfortable sharing a photo of her, that would be awesome too

Hello Connie! I have made appropriate changes--please would you take over the memorial? Since you are a grandaughter, you are certainly closer in relation than I. It is for certain that you can add much more information to her memorial. Let me know please if you want to do this. Thank you for letting me know about the correction
