In accordance with your request, I have uploaded photos and cemetery record information for him.
I also created a Memorial and uploaded photos and cemetery record information for his wife

|miams||Marriage date for Joan Hindley Iams|
First, let me express my sincerest sympathies for your loss of Joan Hindley Iams. I fully recognize this item is trivial compared to the magnitude of your loss.
I am a genealogist and I follow all Iams relatives. By my calculations, I believe I am 5th cousins-once removed from George Iams. I believe the date reported in the obituary is incorrect. Marriage records indicate it was one year earlier, on Sept 9, 1952.
If you have reason to believe these marriage records are inaccurate, I would love to know.

I'm Latimer's grandson. A friend told me I should upload the pics I took of some relatives' graves (including my father), and while I was there, I decided to look for a few other relatives whose gravesites I didn't know - which went really well.
Yeah, found another error in that book (though not in the direct descendants) later today, so I guess I can't trust it as far as I can throw it for dates and such.
I'll see if I can send my email via some less public route.

Sally, I was wondering if you had any advice on the grave markers that are not legible. I thought i would check to see if I could do rubs on them with paper and pencil or crayons but I wasn't sure if that was appropriate or not. It doesn't hurt the marker but again, I wasn't sure if it was appropriate or not.
thank you Donna

Thank you so very much. Does it also include a picture of the headstone? If it does I couldn't find it. At least I can tell folks where she is located!
Thanks again, I am new at this so any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for the link to Clarence's page. I have linked him to his second wife and widow, Catherine Carroll Rhodenbaugh Putt Steeley [Mrs Charles Henry Steeley] #109542337 buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron OH. Mr Steeley is not there. Also unble to find more on Mr Putt's first wife.
Again many thanks for your documentation and help.

Ever run across Clarence E Putt buried someplace in Dover, OH? His parents are listed as John W Putt and Elizabeth and see the pages. Have you run across him at all?
