D. Goodboe
# 44804702 Godbout, Clifford
Hi Jackie, Diane Goodboe here. I've sent you an edit containing a description from the old Crookston paper of how the boy Clifford Godbout died. Don't know if you want to add it to his memorial page or not but I thought you might at least like to have it for your own files.

The family story I learned was that on the day he died, young Clifford attended local services at Oakdale Cemetery because his 9 yr old brother, Harold, was buried there 4 yrs earlier in 1911. Whether the boys are buried side-by-side or not I can't say. So far I haven't discovered what Harold died of, but possibly it was from a disease.

The Samuel Godbout family and their descendants are distant cousins to my husband, who is descended from Samuel's brother, Eli Pierre "Frenchy" Goodbeau (1864-1940). The common ancestors would be the previous generation, Ambrose Godbout and Louise Lessard Godbout, who immigrated from Quebec.

I've added your suggestions to B. Largen
I have added the following "Son of Aaron Largen and Mary Polly Quesenberry". Would you have any info about his first name, birth date, or where he was born?

Noticed the two cemetery listings while researching my Kincaids. Hope this helps.

I've posted the photo of her grave marker, and I notice that Daniel O'Keefe is also buried there. From the dates, I would guess he is her son. Do you know how they are related?

That's interesting! It let me accept the edit even after I had transferred the memorial! Must be because it had been submitted before the transfer?

Hi Jackie!

I transferred the memorial before I noticed your maiden name edit. Please let me know if you need a better picture of the grave. I can probably either find the original or run over and take a better picture (I've gotten better at photographing and editing over time!)

p.s. do you read Hebrew? I know someone who might be willing to translate it if needed.

Goodboe research
Jackie, I see you're working on some Goodboe ancestry and that you also have some memorial pages for various Godbouts. My husband is a Goodboe and I've been working on his family lines the last few years. There's definitely some overlap between the two groups.

Please contact me privately (see my profile page) if you'd like to compare notes. I've tried to collect as many primary sources for these people as possible and I'm happy to share as much family lore as I've learned.

Thomas A Reed
The Thomas Reed listed as a son of Aaron and Lydia Reed is not the right Thomas Reed. The correct Thomas Reed is died in January 15, 1865 in Nashville, Tennessee and is buried at the Nashville National Cemetery. He was wounded during the Battle of Nashville and died in a military hospital at Nashville.

Ida Mae Lane

You created a memorial for her too - Lane is her maiden name so I created another memorial for Ida Kent. Never dawned on me that a memorial would be in her maiden name.

If you would like to copy the obit and links from the memorial that I did, I would be happy to delete mine.

Thank you!

Best wishes
High Plains :)

Jackie, you may be interested to know that family
members will put a wreath on Walter's grave for the program "wreaths across america". Just think Walter was lost to us and found and this year. We had family living in Danville Ill. and did not know he
was buried there until I started this genealogy. We are all thrilled and appreciate your help with his
bio. Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi Jackie I have found an obit for Mae Grant Riggs that says she is buried in Monongahela cemetery. Can you change the cemetery on the memorial since I transferred the memorial to you I can't make changes. I don't know why she isn't with her husband in Howe cemetery but she isn't buried there.

Jackie, Thank you so much. I found the bio
on line exactly where you said it would be.
You are so nice to have done that for all of
us. It really meant a lot to me to see that
writeup. I had no idea he was in the Civil
war, etc. I did not have any information about him. Once again thank you. Let me know if you
need anything I can do for you.

RE: Walter Pruet (1827-1918)
Jackie, Thank you so much for your answer.
I am new to Find a Grave and when I go on his
page it says maintained by Jackie Gold.
Walter had 8 children. Robert Gregory was his
4th child and my 3 great grandfather. I have pictures of them.
Which cild of his was your 3rd g-grandfather. I am very interested. I saw one of his children was
named Jackie. Were you named after her or him.

Thank you so much. This is so much fun.
