Hi Lorna,
Do you happen to have a photo of Samuel?

SV Massey
Hello. I am from Todd valley in Foresthill CA. I do spirit portraits and I was at the cemetery the other day and feel I drew your ancestor. I was wondering if you have any photos of him to confirm. I got a lot while there but was drawn to his particular. There is also a site next to his that is a woman and the headstone is missing. I am not sure if they are connected. If you want I can upload the photo I drew.

RE: S. V. Massey
Hi Lorna,
Sorry for the delay in transferring Mr. Massey. I'm glad you would like to manage his memorial since you are related. What part of California do you reside?

Hello Lorna,

The cemetery is known by two names and both were on Find A Grave. I just requested that they be merged as there were duplicates being created. I read the entire cemetery and documented what hadn't been entered, but that's all I know about the cemetery's history. I just happen to live nearby.

I have transferred his memorial to you. The burial rolls indicate that there was no headstone. I added a photo of the building that still stands in Sacramento, CA that was "Moore's Opera House".

Just transferred. Please let me know if I have other relatives you would like transferred over.

RE: S. Y. Massey
Hi Lorna!
I never noticed the difference in the V and the Y, but you are correct. I have edited the memorial. Todd Valley Cemetery is in an area where there was a lot of gold mining. Samuel probably came to California for that. The cemetery is in the foothills east of Sacramento and not far from where gold was discovered in 1849.

She cannot be connected until she has a memorial on find a grave. I do not have her dates of birth or death and I am not sure where she is buried. As I have no connection to her, I did not do any research about her.

If you make a memorial for her you can connect her to Malcolm at that same time.

Also, I was told by Jack North that she was a widow named NORTH and her maiden name was I said I never have researched her so I can not say one way or the other.

Allen Garvin
HI Lorna! Long time no talk, lost your email address.

DJ had messaged you to link Allen to his mother, Sarah Smith Mitchell Garvin, but I just made it easier for you. Go to your "Edits" tab and click "accept".

Love, your Garvin cousins ER and DJ :-)

Thomas Fullerton
Hello, Lorna. I do not know how much I have on him but if you want to e-mail me again with you e-mail address I will send you what I have. He married the daughter of Mr. Dunlap's first wife and I have done a lot of research on Mr Dunlap's second wife. But I sometimes have more information on "out lines". I can look it up fairly quickly if you would like. Kathyrn

I attempted to transfer the memorial to you but found it has already been transferred. I don't know how that happened, but in any event it is yours now. Thanks for taking care of family

I have transferred the Fullertons to you, and am very happy they are with "family" now. This is the very best part about the photos I love to take! Thanks for being part of find a grave.

RE: Find A Grave Changes
For Charles Allen I asked you to accept an edit for the stone inscription, which on the stone says "Son of D.F. & L.A. Allen". On Velma Genevieve Allen's I also sent the inscription on the stone " Dau. of R.H. & E.E. Allen". That's what it states on the stone and will not remove any accurate data. Therefore, would you please put that on their memorials under stone inscription? Thanks!!

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

Thanks!!! ~Peggy A. (Bargen) Duey, Nelson, Nebraska

I do not understand what you are saying when you have them on Facebook. If this fits within the Find A Grave guidelines I will be glad to transfer to you but need to know how they are related. Otherwise, you can make a virtual cemetery for them and send me the corrections you want done.

Hi Lorna,

I'm so glad you are related to Albert and Grace Thomas. I found another article about the funeral, and posted it as well. That is neat that you have mementos of them. Linda
