RE: Thank you - Benjamin Booth!
Well said Lisa - I like your choice of words. Yes, I feel it is important to capture a photo of the resting place & area in a beautiful cemetery even if there is no headstone. I obtain plot maps from the church or city/twp offices and make a special effort to identify the area. I love the walking exercise, fresh air, & local history knowledge which I've gained as a bonus.

RE: Thank you!
You are very welcome; I noticed when I transferred Charles that Colleen had loaded the same stone photo three times, so I shot her a quick note to ask her to delete two of them. For some goofy reason, F.A.G. doesn't let either the creator or the person maintaining a memorial to delete photos added to it, only the person who added the photos.

Let me know if you find any others that you would like transferred over. Robin

Photo requests at Holy Cross Cemetery Detroit MI
I noticed that you have one or more photo requests for people buried in Holy Cross cemetery in Detroit MI. There cemetery office has permanently closed, all of their records were sent to the Our Lady of Hope cemetery office. Please call them at (734) 285-2155 to get the plot location of your loved ones, this way find a grave volunteers in the area can accurately locate the stone.

Jennifer (Bell) Cooper
Hi Lisa,
My name is Jennifer (Bell) Cooper. My 2nd great aunt is Margaret Barnes Bittles 1828-1914. Actually her maiden name is Reid. Her sister Ann Reid Macauley is my 2nd great grandmother. Back to Margaret....she married first John Barnes who died in near as I can tell during the civil war. Margaret second married James Bittles 1827-1906. Margaret and John Barnes had 2 sons...Charles and John. Do you know if the John H Barnes that is buried in Brooks Cemetery is their son?

Evergreen Cemetery-Detroit
Hi Lisa,
The Rischert and Mather are buried together at Evergreen. The head stone has Rischert on one side and Mather on the other. I have a pic of Charles Rischert 1843-1925 as well if you add him I'll attach the picture also Elise Mather Douglas 1907-1977 and Rose Douglas (misspelled Duglass) 1881-1908, Frank T Mather 1867-1946, Oscar A Mather 1843-1915. There were 2 I did not get Garrt Mather and another that needs diging out that is buried on the Rischert side.

Elizabeth Jordain
Hi Lisa,

I have photographed this entire cemetery and there is no marker for Elizabeth....Delta County Genelogical Society records do not show that she is buried there.

However......There are two Lake View Cemeteries in Delta County. Genelogical Society records show a Mrs. David Jordain with the same dates of birth and death in the Lakeview Cemetery in Escanaba, MI. Is this her? I'm going to "report a problem" so that find a grave removes the current photo request for her. If Mrs. David is indeed Elizabeth, could you change the cemetery location and resubmit a photo request for the new one? I don't typically photograph in the Escanaba one but I think there are others that do.

There has been a lot of confusion with these to cemeteries on this site in the past!

Hallmans at Mt. Olivet
Hi Lisa -
When I took a picture for Felix, I found many more family members. I've created memorials for them and uploaded the pictures. Enjoy!

RE: Margarette Booth
You're welcome. I will continue to keep an eye open for her name in case I overlooked her marker. I suspect she is probably buried in the older section of the cemetery (between the SW corner and the old church), where the markers are fewer and farther between. If I should come across any plot information, I'll pass it along.

I took pictures of the Chesney family plot at St. Patrick's cemetery. I have a couple more pictures of a Mathais and a Louise gravestone. Let me know if you would like me to email them to you.

Kathi Flyte

I found this tombstone, but the name is spelled different and date of birth is off. Not that stones are always accurate, but you might want to check your info.

Garlick / Lockport
Lisa, I visited Lockport today. There is a small monument next to Eliza Garlick that reads Garlick at the bottom, but is so weathered there are no names. I can post it to Thomas if you like.
