|Lily Virdell||Lillie May (Thomas) Smoot|
While researching on Chronicling America I came across this newspaper tidbit: Dr.P.G. Smoot can be found at night at the residence of John N. Thomas, 3rd Street. Daily Ledger, Maysville, Ky. June 4, 1895. In the parlance of the day, this meant he was courting. So, Lillie May and Peter Gordon Smoot did not marry until 1895 or later and her father is most likely John N. Thomas, also buried in Maysville Cemetery. I don't know who is looking for this information but thought I would pass it along. Lillie Smoot memorial#42073708

PLEASE remove the cemetery photo from the memorial.
Or, remove the small person photo which is a repeat of the photo in another photo. There are only 5 photo allowed per memorial without having to pay.
I have another document i want to add relating to his POW status. I cannot add it because the cemetery photo i taking up the 5th slot. Ditto for the duplicate picture person photo

I just put in a few edits for Mrs. Boarder. She passed away in her Crestwood home. Crestwood is a subdivision that is officially part of Reiffton in Exeter Township, Berks Co, PA. She was a nice lady (an in-law) whom I met several times when I was a kid.

This has been a really long time since you wrote. According to a reading of the Whiting Cemetery which was done in April 2002, by Judith Hutchison, Jocy Carter is buried there. Her dates are 1891 - 1971. Thanks. Jeanette

|JULIE GORDON||Jesse James|
When I joined 23andme it showed that my DNA matched up with being a possible relative of Jesse James.
You posted a gravesite tombstone with James Gordon Lewis and "Indian Outlaw" Debbie Birth 14 Jul 1960.
Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Nolanville, Bell County, Texas
That was quite an unusual engraving! Was there any other tombstones that would have indicated her maiden name?
Thanks for everything you do. We may be related or me and your husband :>}.

Thought you would like to know the reason no one can find a headstone for this gentleman is because he is listed in the wrong cemetery. I checked with the funeral home and he is in the
Pleasant Grove Mennonite Cemetery
As of today he is not posted there.

Thank you so much for the transfer of Roscoe C. Austin. He is a very special part of the family to this branch. We didn't have many relatives around, but Roscoe was one with whom my father (his cousin) always kept in touch. He was a heroic figure to my dad.

Thanks for the transfer-but I transferred him back-I am so distant relative that I wouldn't be able to give more much more info than what you found-except maybe his folks-I hope his family -his children or grandchildren will see it on find a grave-You do GREAT work and feel I would do unjustice on this one. Where did you get the pic? It would be nice for pic of the stone- Is their a newspaper in that area(Wyoming) that I could use for more info? This site is a good site-a good way to be remembered-our daughter is on it-and I didn't put it on-found it by accident-Roxanne

Hi, Are you related to Orpha Geike #45576647? I just discovered that I created a duplicate for her #63193461 about a year after you had already created one for her. (Sorry about that.) Somehow I would like to combine them so that none of the info will be lost. I am related by marriage to her. Would you like to keep her memorial in your care? If you do, I could transfer management of her memorial to you in order to combine the info and delete the duplicate. If not, my member # is #47111684. I would combine the info and delete the newer one. Whatever you would like to do is fine. Thanks, Cindy Blevins
