RE: Mohr Family Tomb
Jim,

There is no mistake. There were only two names listed on the grave, Marie and Charles Gerard, although there are 12 people listed as interred there. Below is a list of all those at the gravesite:

First Name Middle Name Last Name Suffix Age Date of Burial

Michael Wm Mohr 18 12/01/1888
Henry Mohr 79 12/12/1894
Widow Hy Mohr 76 06/27/1906
Rose Mercer 49 04/06/1968
Jacob J. Gitz 81 03/01/1946
Margaret Gietz 87 01/10/1954
Child Jacob Gietz 05/09/1893
Marie Gerard 68 03/29/1976
Charles Cefaly Gerard 58 02/26/1966
Anna Florence Geitz 2mo 05/10/1894
Annie Mohr Dousseau 58 06/30/1931
Henri Doisseau 69 03/31/1938

It is not uncommon that names are not on these gravesites. I hope this answered your question.

Joe

You have a child listed that was born before Ruth was born. I think the child maybe hooked to the wrong parents.

Ervon & Helen Gersmehl
Re: Your photo request for Ervon. The graver marker in the listed lot is for "Erwin Gersmehl." I have added a photo.
Helen Gersmenhl is buried in Lakeview Cenetery and a photo of her tombstone is already posted there.

Jerry

RE: Isabel (UMN) Barber
It's my pleasure to be able to find Isabel's headstone. My wife and I were Las Vegas NM for the night and were able to spend some time exploring. I was fortunate to find Isabel and two others just by wandering through the cemetary. There is no directory or office there.

Unfortunately I didn't notice any other Barber sites nearby.

Glad to help! I wish the picture was better, but the stone is very worn. It is a little better in person when you can feel with your fingers.

Cassius Hastings
Yesterday, I attempted to fulfill this request. I confirmed with the cemetery staff the names of the adjacent buried and thereby confirmed that there is no gravestone on the grave of Cassius Hastings. I can send you the photo of the unmarked grave if you would like it.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for adding the links for Susan "Sarah" Warner Towneley. I appreciate it. Actually, I DID use the Find A Grave Edit feature to make the suggested edits. I normally allow the contributor several weeks to make the edits, but in this case I was a little "antsy" about getting it done. I was afraid that if you didn't make the edits quickly enough, the F.A.G. folks would end up making the edits. It has been my experience that they will not do links for anyone whose burial is unknown. Since your memorial does not list a place of burial, I was scared that they would contact you to delete it, and I did not want that to happen. Thanks again for all you do on Find A Grave to help all of us.

RE: Mildred Warner Washington
Hello,
Thank you for your comment. I think it is worth noting that there is a plaque at this graveyard commemorating her, giving information on her relationship to family and where she is ultimately buried. If I could figure out who is in charge of the initial front cemetery page then perhaps we could add her info there instead of having an individual link for her. Are you familiar with the person who initiated the page?
Regards, Kim Curlin Wettroth

Would you kindly link Susan "Sarah" Warner Towneley to her parents? They are: Col. Augustine Warner - Find A Grave # 7656588 and Mary Towneley Warner - Find A Grave # 7656592

Dr. John Greene
Good morning,

I just found your photo of Dr John Greeneʻs tombstone on find a grave. He is distantly related to me by marriage. May I use the photo on my private family tree? I always give credit to the members who allow me to use their photos... thanks so much...

Regards,

RE: Mary Virginia
Photo: you are welcome, such as it is. That Kopfler plot is situated in relation to the giant trees of Amite Cemetery in such a way that I doubt it gets any direct sun (this time of year) until late afternoon. We gave Mary's stone the allowed soft brushing and took 20 photos with two different cameras, but the pattern of staining on her marble stone is such that it makes the stone hard to read in every photo. The last number on her dates has a small opening on the left side which makes it a 3 - even though it looks a bit like an 8 in the picture.

Yes, time is making wear on the old memorials. Some are close to being gone. I especially like posting old ones because I know some will be gone over the winter because they are close now.

I appreciate that you provided such specific location information, but a two-man, row-by-row, half-hour search of the specific and general area was unsuccessful. You might check with the office to verify the location & confirm that there is a headstone.

You're welcome! By the way, her DOB is Aug 3, not Aug 31st, in case you want to correct that on her memorial page.

My pleasure, Jim. I uploaded two photos of Maria's grave for you, and now you'll be able to fill in her birth and death dates. I wish you could see the mountains in the distance in the first photo - her site is a beautiful place and it was a lovely evening on Monday when I took these.

I never can figure out that "how many cousins twice removed" thing! But nice to find people in the same line!

I mainly research public records and pedigrees that can (as closely as possible) be substantiated by official documents.

Only problem is that after 40 some years doing this, I have to often "frown" even on "official records". I am not so good at photographs but I like the process of putting several sources together to come up with a piece of the puzzle!

I have some pretty solid vital dates for some of your Olins - want me to put them on their edit features? ~Shirleen

Olin
No problem - I had that in my family archives & I think that stone has now almost tipped over, by the looks of the more recent photo of his stone.

Rebecca Englesby Olin, daughter of Capt. Jonathan Olin was my maternal great great grandmother.

Cheers~ Shirleen

Hi: I just sent an edit on the wife of Jonathan Olin Esq. - the dates are correct, but her maiden name is Gardiner - (Amy "Anna" Johnson was born in 1769 and was married to Capt. Jonathan Olin 1766-1851) - both of whom are buried in North Fork Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.

That marbleized looking stone there on the right of Jonathan Esquire is the stone of Anna Gardiner Olin.

Thanks for finding them!
Cheers~ Shirleen

As you can tell from the picture, the IOOF cemetery
is very overgrown and neglected ... The 2 adjacent cemeteries are in much better shape.

http://files.usgwarchives.net/nm/sanmiguel/cemeteries/ioof.txt

gives a grave listing of the IOOF cemetery.

Not a problem. Like I said, I'm mainly wanting to keep them in the family, so if you're family, mission accomplished. :-)

Thank you for transferring the others I requested!

No I couldn't read anything but the name. Do you know if the church has record of the burials in the cemetery? If so possibly I could take another trip down there someday to find out.
I sent the photos to you via email. I will remove the pictures for now on find a grave until we know more.
