|Grace Petron||RE: Martha Hill & Knutson|
I am suggesting the other Knudsen as Jr's father and was asking if you agreed. I agree with your entry for Jr. I remember my Dad talking about Sr so I was curious what happened to him and where he went. Thanks for all your work; it is great. I am currently checking out the Red Lake tribe, who recently took off a great site with early births and marriages. Guess the privacy issue finally got to them!

Take a look at 52838776 and see if you can tell if that is James Knutson Sr. Knutson is spelled in several ways on Familysearch! 1920 census is Knudsen. Cordially, Grace

I wonder if you would permit to me to use the photograph you took of the grave of Robert Eric Ambler's on his page on my website.
He lived for a time in the same village as me, and his name is entered on a Roll of Service for the First World War. My website aims to identify all the men listed on it and provide brief biographies of them. Being able to use your photo, for which full credit would be given, would add to the completeness of the page.
I thank you in anticipation,

|katherine w||Charles Victor Olmstead gravesite pictures|
I am writing on behalf of the Charles Victor Olmstead family, whose grave site you recently volunteered to photograph. We live 1000 miles away in Kansas, and cannot visit this site. Thanks to your kindness, my 82 year old mother was able to view the her parents grave site that she has never seen. She was very happy with the pictures that you uploaded. One thousand thank you's to you for doing this for my family and I.
granddaughter of Charles Victor Olmstead, and Olive Olmstead.

Thanks for the SAC. I was sent the parental links and didn't look into it when I added them. I have transferred the memorial over to you so you can do what you think is correct with it. I'm not related. Thanks.

Please tell me your source/reason for reporting that the WWI Draft Registration Card info for Peter Olson is the same Peter Olson buried in Washington? Thank you. David
PS: I note there is a Peter Olson born 5/29/1881 living in Rockford, Illinois in 1944 w/wife Emma(WWII Draft Registration Card).

I did a little research too, and I think you are correct. I do not have access to the Highmore Cem records to check that. I have included the Cemetery Index that he was listed on, and your research data on his memorial site. I corrected his name spelling but did not link him to his parents yet. I will link him up if you consider this solid enough as it is.
Thank you for the information on Walter.

Shelli at city hall says that grave's entry is "buried 1934" which is actually the date for David, who is in an adjoining grave. She says if the grave is actually vacant it must be owned by the family...

I messaged the city clerk re the ownership of the lot attributed to Alphonse Couillard. Delete went through. Grace

Yep, that was it. The delete is beside the transfer management and so only appears when you are in possession of the record. This never came up before so now I know something more. Thanks, Grace I will have a look at city hall and do some looking at whether that grave is actually available. I appreciate your checking these records because I just keyed in BHS's spread sheet and apparently they were reading handwritten notes by "walkers." It may be that that grave is owned by descendants or some such.

Guess I will have to read the instructions--I can't from edit. Thanks, GRace
Added by Grace Petron on Mar 31, 2016 5:52 PM
I can't delete him, can you?
Added by Grace Petron on Mar 31, 2016 5:42 PM
It's ok to delete him in Fairview; there is a record for him in Crow Wing County at a cemetery there with the parent's record agreeing with what Familysearch has. I will see if there is an Elphonse who died at 6 years old which is what the spread sheet from Belt. County HS has. 1905 is early enough that MN Hist Socy may not have a card for him. Alphonse did live in Shotley with his parents on a couple censuses and his parents did die in Belt County, re Familysearch. Thanks for cleaning up after the "spread sheet!" Get to shed my sling and drive--cabin fever resolved...Cordially, Grace
