Surely. Please send me the request via the Suggestion tab and include your Find A Grave number so I can transfer. Sherry

Amelia Adkins
The 1940, '30, and '20 census records have her birth year as around 1891/1892. I couldn't find her in the 1910 record. Since she's living with her aunt and uncle Wright in the 1900 census it's possible that her age was written down wrong (mistakes happen). Anyway, I won't bother you any more :) I just have a huge passion for (or as my husband calls it "addiction". Have a great Sunday.

I'm excited for you! I love genealogy. I'm transferring her memorial over to you. As for her date of birth... I don't know which date I'd use. I guess I'd try to find her on other census records and see which date seems better... or try to find her tombstone and see what date is on the stone.

I got her birth date from her death certificate:

but if you believe the form is wrong I would be more than happy to change the date. Please let me know.

Nita: I have 2 Henry McNeals. One buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lufkin #106711019 and the other buried at Golden Gate in Houston #107897860.

Which one are you speaking of?

I ran across your post to David about burials in Montgomery cemeteries. I live about 5 miles from the cemetery that you are looking for. It is called Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. My sister and I photograph cemeteries and have that one our list to do when it gets cooler. You may go ahead and add them to this cemetery and place a photo request and we can add the pics for you later. This would be the only large black cemetery in the town of Montgomery. If I can help you in any way let me know. Happy hunting. Janet

No idea I am just an individual volunteer like you and took some pics while on a photo request...

RE: Headstones
You could do that. You can also click on the button that says "Request a Photo". When you do that, an email goes out to all the volunteers who live within about 30-50 miles of the cemetery asking if someone can go take a photo. Often someone picks up the request, and in the next few weeks, gets the photo and posts it. I do that all the time and there are many others who do it, too.

RE: Headstones
Hi Nita,
I completely understand what you are asking. I've never seen anyone do that, probably because the idea is to provide someone a photo of the specific headstone - as often people cannot travel across country to view a relatives gravesite. If you want to add something, you can either add a photo of the person himself... or you can click the button near the bottom right on a page that says "Leave a flower and a note". You select the flower you want to leave and can indicate a note saying you "miss them" or are "remembering some good times that you had", etc. That's typically the way viewers pay their respect. Gussie Lee Billington
Nita - Gussie Lee Billington (buried in Willow Cemetery in Haskell, TX) is a female. But you have attached a picture of a male. I'm wondering if the picture might be on the wrong memorial??

RE: Easter Buchanan Billington
Thanks so much for the birth year correction. I have changed it. If you know where her parents are buried and they are in Find A Grave, I'll be glad to link them.

I need more information to help out. Please send a Find a Grave number I can use to find the memorial, or what state.

RE: Billington
Hi Nita,
It was me who entered Easter and Emily's memorial pages (and I corrected Easter's maiden name!). I used their death certificates to enter the info. If you'd like to request a photo, just click the button on their memorial page that says "Request a Photo" (right next to the button that says "Add a Photo"). When you enter that info, a page will go out to anyone who lives within range of going to that cemetery to take the photo. It may take several months. If it's a large cemetery, you can speed up the process of getting the photo by calling the cemetery and trying to get the plot and/or section number of the graves. That will keep the volunteer photographer from walking the entire cemeter to look for the grave. Feel free to ask me anything if this doesn't make sense.

RE: Billington
I'm guessing you have to combine what you want, and then delete the other. Since I passed it to you, I can't go in there.... and it is Ms. Roberts, but no biggy.

Hi, are you the daughter of Dorothy and George Billington? If so, and you would like these memorials, I will tranfer them.
