Dennis Family Grave
Doug,

You have a picture of the Dennis family Cemetery. Where is this located? I am looking for the grave of my Great Grandfather Robert Case, died 1912. All my surviving family knows is that it is a "family cemetery in Anderson". I've tracked down 2 Case Cemetery's one on Puncheon Creek Rd and this one (it has more recent Case relatives in it). I am going to be in the area in a few weeks and I would like to see if we can locate him. It always bothered my great grandmother that she would not be with him. She died in 1988 and is buried in Maysville. So I would at least like to know where he is. Thanks

Dani Cash
Julia Badger Cash/ Badger Cemetery
Doug,
I'm wondering if you could do a photo request in Durby at the Badger Cemetery. I've had it posted as a photo request for such a long time. I've contacted another contributor by the name of Wally but he is no longer in the area. Memorial# 122430719 is my husbands grandmother Julia Cash. I have no space or lot number. Any thing will be helpful.
Please and thank you!
Dani Cash

Jesse McDonald
Doug:
I don't know if you live close to Bardstown KY, but you took a picture of the gravestone of Jesse McDonald In the Pioneer Cemetery of Bardstown. It is an old tombstone. Is it possible to get a rubbing of the date of birth and date of death? My records show his death about 1846-1846 as his will was dated 1847. Any help would be most appreciated. Warm Regards, Ruth Fox

Vickye Blatherwick
Kasey Cemetery, Hardin County Kentucky
Hi Doug,
I think that Kasey Cemetery (Hardin County, Kentucky_ is the same cemetery as
Grandview Cemetery (Breckinridge County, Kentucky)

For instance,
your memorial for Florentine Brown seems to be the same person in both cemetieries.

Could you please check out your memorials for that cemetery. Thanks. I just stumbled upon this today and have no answer for it, except,
at some point Find A Grave needs to straighten out the name and location of the cemetery. I would appreciate hearing from you...your thoughts??

Doug,

Do you mind changing her mother's name in your narrative to "Mary Alice" not Mary Ann? Mary Alice was my great great grandmother.

Many thanks,

Sarah Stivers gravestone
I just came across your photo of Sarah Stivers gravestone. She is my Great grandmother. I took a photo of her marker several years ago, but it had so much crud on it , it is hard to make it out. How did you clean it up, to get such a good clear picture ?
Thank you !

Doug,
I am Henry's great great granddaughter. I was wondering if you would be willing to help me locate his headstone. When I was a teenager I remember seeing it on top of the ridge between Bearcamp Road and Brooks Hill Road. I am on find a grave or you email me at smalinois@bellsouth.net. All help would be appreciated.

Pat Payne
Trunnell Bowman Cemetery
Thanks Doug, for all your work documenting the Trunnell Bowman Cemetery in Bullitt County, KY for Find-A-Grave. I had searched for years for the location of the graves of my Trunnell ancestors in Bullitt County and with the help of friends and researchers there, we finally located this cemetery off Chapeze Lane on Aqua Springs road. With a great deal of help from the Bullitt County History Museum and many volunteers, we were able to arrange for cleanup and repair of the Trunnell-Bowman Cemetery. The Cemetery was fenced, graves repaired and grass was planted. We had a wonderful Dedication ceremony at the Cemetery and a tour of the nearby Trunnell house.

I have a lot of information and pictures on the people in the cemetery that I would like to add to their memorials. I am glad that you found my website (http://www.freewebs.com/trunnell/origins.htm) and added some info from it to the memorial of my greatgrandfather, Henry Trunnell.

I also have info on at least 4 additional people who are buried there that I would like to add to the cemetery. Would you consider letting me take over the management of this cemetery? If you are in agreement, you can reply to me privately at patpayne@byu.net so I can give you the memorial numbers, I hate to take up so much space in your public email space. Thanks! Amanda Smith
Doug
Bingo! This is the right Amanda Smith. I do have some more info on her for you to link if you are willing. Her first husband was William H Jiles #3192127. They had one child - Augusta Jiles. She married William Thompson. Their child, Amanda E Thompson is also buried at Trunnel/Bowman Cemetery.
*Please note that the tombstone for her is incorrect as it is also Amanda Smith's tombstone.
William H Jiles was killed in the Civil War.

Amanda married James D Smith #80691568 on January 20, 1865 in Roane County, TN. They had six children (Jonas, Sara, Winifred, Margeria, Kinslow, and Virgil).
One observation - most of the tombstones in the Trunnel/Bowman cemetery seem to be infants or young children. Are there a lot more stones yet to be found or identified there? Thanks. Roger Ripley

Amanda Smith
Doug
I am trying to figure out if the Amanda Smith that you have on Find A Grave is the one that my wife is related to. She was married to a James D Smith. The photo of the tombstone could be a D rather than a P?
I assume this to be a very small family cemetery. Are you related to her, and would know if her maiden name was Philips? Our Amanda was born about 1838/1839 and we are less certain of her death, but know that she lived in Bullitt County on the 1880 census.
I am assuming that her husband would be buried with her - and that is the reason that I wonder if it is not our Amanda. Any help you can give would be much appreciated. Roger Ripley, Wisconsin

Clifford Henry Snawder
I found another Snawder Death Certificate for Clifford Henry Snawder that has him buried in "Snawder Cemetery." I didn't add him yet....I thought I'd talk to you about it first. His mother is a Risinger and I'm pretty sure he would be in the Wilson-Snawder Cemetery. I'm hoping his name will ring a bell and you'll know if he belongs there for sure. I have located his wife's and she isn't buried in the same cemetery as him. I can forward the Death Certificate if you'd like a copy. Thanks for the Help!
