I am looking for the parents of Malinda Wells that married my Great Grandfather, Martin Luther Hileman. Martin Luther was the son of Sameul Hileman and Susan Beck. Malinda was born in 1860. Martin Luther was born in 1857. Malinda and Martin Luther are buried in the Eakley, Ok cemetery where my father, Hubert Beckham, and grandparents Marvin Guy Hileman and Bessy Jewel nee Hale Hileman are buried. All I have to go on is she was born in Iowa, not much else. Thanks for any help.

|Lynn Allen||RE: Hull ancestors|
I just mailed off the DNA test for ancestry a few days ago. I am not familiar with the other site. I'll have to check it out!
It looks like we part ways after Cornelius Hull. My line continues down the Hull line to my grandmother, Helen Hull Jeffrey.
Thanks for info, Joy!

I see you are related to the Hull family as indicated by many of your memorials for individual graves. I am also related and was wondering what ancestor we have in common.

Joy, are you related to Pete (Forest) Shadle who married Ora Summers? Ora was my great-aunt and I remember her and Pete very well.

That is so exciting! What all information do you need to prove it? Birth & death certificates? Could I prove my line back to Madison & then reference your? Thanks! Carol

|Tim Hardwick||RE: Jeremiah Swing Gravestone|
Hi Joy, I was contacted by the gentleman in question and I answered all his questions at which he responded and said he would be contacting you to see what could be done further since you were the relative. He did say he would go visit the property owner and offer to have the stone put together and then placed where they believe the cemetery site to be. If the stone was removed to a nearby cemetery as a memorial, then he would be in contact with you concerning any cost involved. This conversation was 6 weeks ago or longer. Tim

We went to the Meetinghouse Cemetery again over the weekend armed with a printout of the plots. While we were able to locate the location where Amasa is buried, unfortunately there is no marker for him. According to the records he is buried in Lot 4, Section 1 which is where his father Robert and mother Sarah are also buried.
I included an "area" shot of where they are buried.

Hi Joy! I saw through your messages with Tim Hardwick that you believe Eleazer is a Mayflower descendant! Did you ever confirm this? Thanks!

Joy, my family tree on ancestry.com is "Hardwick/Estes Family Tree of Kentucky" and I currently have 11,000 people attached to it. If you go searching and find errors in it, please let me know so I can correct them otherwise ancestry.com will propagate those errors further. What is your tree on ancestry? Oh,I printed a map for Washington twp., Ripley co., Indiana so that I could find The Swing Cemetery for you. I am familiar with the area where the cemetery is located, I just need to find whose property it is on (formerly the property was owned by a Peter Vinvcent). Tim

|Tim Hardwick||Hi Joy|
I planned on putting these on ancestry.com too. I am not a direct relative, but I am related to the Rouse Family via a marriage between Phillip Rouse (1782-1856) and Margaret Surber (1786-1847). Phillip Rouse is a brother to your Hannah Rouse Cole, wife of Eleazar Cole. I am related to the Surbers, Hubbles, and Bishops of Washington co., Va where the Coles and Rouses lived too. I have photos from the St.Claire's Bottoms Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Chilhowie, Smyth co., Va I just took in May on vacation and there will be some Coles and Rouses grave markers you may want from that cemetery too. I stumlbed on these Coles and was interested due to a local interest. If you are in need of other pictures in Dearborn co., In., let me know. I am not finished posting photos for the Coles, Crandalls, and Kelseys in the Cole Chapel Cemetery. You may want to check the Cole photos out in the Riverview Cemetery, Dearborn co., In. too. Samuel Cole's family is buried there. Tim

All I can find is Iowa. Samuel was in the army for a short period of time, but after that I lose track of him. I suspected that they may have left Pennsylvania with others, possibly family, but can not find anything until they got to Kansas.

I deleted that memorial. I am related through Samuel. He came to Kansas. Do you know when your relative went to Iowa? I suspect Samuel and his family spent some time in Iowa, but can not find any proof. His youngest son was born in Iowa in 1867,but they did not get to Kansas until 1872. I have been trying to a few years.

Hi Joy. Please forgive my confusion, but could you help me with the incorrect information I had on Mary Sprankle Hileman? I am looking at her memorial (#12650061) and since I can't see what I had noted, I'm not sure what I need to correct. Is what's posted correct and I should update my records (which I have on ancestry.com). I just need a little more clarification so I can make accurate corrections. Thank you so much for helping me with this.

Joy, I am so ignorant about this stuff that I don't know what you are talking about. If you will educate me in will fix whatever the problem is. They are my ggg grandparents through their son Samuel. How are you connected? Gary
