|Rosemary West||RE: Corbin Steven Newcomb|
Hi, Cheryl, and thanks for taking the photo. There was some confusion about Corbin Steven Newcomb's correct birth date. That was one of the reasons I wanted to see a photo of the headstone. I am certain he was born in 1932, as this information is confirmed by other sources. My hypothesis is that the 1952 date is actually the birthdate of his son (Corbin Steven Newcomb Jr.), and that someone got seriously confused somewhere along the line and put the son's date on the stone instead of the father's. However, I don't yet have confirmation of the son's birthdate. In any case, I think it's the right headstone, in the sense that it is on the right grave, but it has the wrong date carved on it.

Dear Cheryl; thanks ever so much for sending over the Parr Headstone photo. I am a descendent of Len Hieronymus who settled in Buffalo area in the early 1900's and married Beulah Moredock of the Parr-Moredock line from eastern Kentucky, although Len was born near to where I live here in Sedalia MO.

Just saw the photos this morning! This is much more than I expected, a beautiful job and I'm glad somehow that they have nice monuments, Thank you as well for creating the site for little Betty Jo. I didn't know that my grandfather went by "Roe" (from middle name Monroe) rather than "El" (from Elson), which I had heard once or twice during my childhood. That might help me to find more records of the Winfrey family. You have made such a great contribution to our family research! Thank you so much. As I said, you will be remembered.
