Henry Peter Rothrock's daughter Goldia Almira married my great grandfather Augustus "Gus" Hughes. Their daughter, Alice Minerva, married James Chester Sauerheber, who was my grandfather.

RE: Charlotte Walker Lang

Yes, the birth date was 1804.

Francis Lang's first wife was May Nancy Hughes, who was my great, great grandmother. Francis and Charlotte Walker Lang's daughter, Nancy Jane, married Abraham Washington Rothrock, son of my great, great grandfather, Henry Peter Rothrock.

I've added the photo to the other memorials as requested. Please let me know if you come across memorials for the remaining men at some point in time. I would be happy to add the photo there as well.

Mary Jackman Kiplinger
Looking to clear up some info about Mary. Is she related to you? According to my family chart, she is the 7th child of 8 of Margaret Jackman and Samuel Jackman. All the info in the memorial matches with mine except the name of her parents. Would love to have this cleared if possible for my records.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Kathy Hensley, contributor #: 46999761

RE: Copeland Photos
We could not find her name anywhere, but I posted the photo due to being able to find her listed with her parents. Records show she is with them, although her name is missing. The small stone to the right of the large one only had Mother across the top.

RE: Nodine's at Woodlawn
I actually had these taken awhile back and never got them posted. As you can see there is a picture of the whole plot located in the "Southlawn" addition of Woodlawn.

RE: James Nodine
The cemetery James, Eva, and Vera are buried in label their sections by the alphabet, A,B,C.....etc. James and Eva are in section "F" and Vera is in section "I". So I am not sure til I get to our genealogy center tomorrow and look at marriage records for James to find out if in fact he was married twice.

RE: Edits
Log into Find A Grave. Click onto your contributor tools that is on the bottom of the left sided column. At the top you will see an edit tab. Click on that. If there is a number in () on the tab, that means you have that many edits to review. Click on what category you want to look at. Review, accept, decline or ignore and then submit. Also check the FAQ's section for Find A Grave for more instructions. It fooled me, too at first. not hard, just a new thing to learn! LOL!

RE: Ridge Cemetery
I want to give you the name of a contact in Dekalb County IN that may be able to assist you with your searches. Her name is Lynn, and she works on Tues & Wed at the genealogy annex of the Eckhart Public Library in Auburn IN. Open at 10 on T and 12 noon on W. It is called the Willennaer Annex. Not sure I got the spelling right. Google it. I will file your requests for future visit to Ridge. In the meantime, I will contact my neighbor, as she has an original copy of the history of Dekalb County and see if there is any reference to the Rockwells. There are copies of the same at Will.

RE: Richard L. Thomas
I was at the genealogy annex of the Eckhart Public library in Auburn IN. It is called the Willennar (sp?) Annex. I met the president of the DeKalb County Genealogy Society and we were discussing Ridge Cemetery. It was one of the cemeteries that the society has restored. She, too, has pictures and has recorded the grave sites once again. We were discussing Lyman Thomas, the memorial I added today. I brought up Richard's, too. Do send me your questions and between Roselyn and I, I am sure they can be answered. I will definitely need to go out there again and look at stones a second time. I did not have my materials with me to rub or brush, etc. Nor even a notepad! See what photographing leads to!! LOL!

Sadly I wasn't able to attend either funeral. So any information you have is greatly appreciated. I saw and talked to their son Leroy at Mom's Funeral in 2011, but we didn't discuss his parents.
