RE: Child Cemetery - Thrasher
I have Susie Clement Thrasher connected with her parents and a bio done. If you want to add to the bio of her husband Arthur Perry Thrasher, he was b Jan 27, 1850 to Ithamar Thrasher b 1813 and Mary Ann Cotton b 1818. Ithamar is buried in the Flat Cemetery in Cornish NH Findagrave #95693351. Thanks again, Beverly

RE: Haldimand Putnam

I believe Haldimand Sumner Putnam was born on October 6, 1836. I am aware of the 1835 birth year, but believe that is incorrect. Reasons being, his brother Samuel was born in 1835, and while it's not unprecedented for a woman to have two separate births in same calendar's also not common. Plus, that 1835 birth year has October 15th as Hob's(his nick as kid) birthday. While I don't know older brother Samuel's birth month, it would have to be sometime in January, meaning Mom & Pop Putnam would've had to have gotten down to serious "business" in creating Haldimand, immediately after Samuel popped out of the oven, if you will. This also is not likely, as perhaps you can attest (better than I could, anyway). Here is a link to the 1850 census (posted as 'Patnam'; misread by someone, as you'll see if you click on 'View Document'), showing Samuel at 15 years of age, and Haldimand at 13; further evidence they had different birth years. It was done in August/1850, probably after Sam's b-day, but before Haldimand's; thus the 2-year disparity on paper. Thank you for all your hard work. -Scott

I noticed you have made 2 memorial pages (#65865835 and #96714940) for this one person. Maybe it would be a good idea to merge the two?

RE: Paul Etienne Queneau
Hi Ginny,

Thanks for that. When I wrote yesterday, Paul was not showing up with the rest of the family, but later he was.

Paul E. Queneau's brother Bernard was my stepfather for 11 1/2 years, and I am working with Bernie's daughters to update their family. Mary T. transferred the other siblings to me so perhaps I should have Paul also.

I have been doing amateur genealogy work on family for about 5 years now. I just started as a findagrave contributor last month. It seems like a wonderful way to save and disseminate my knowledge.

Can you help me with an idea for the last sibling? Roland Queneau did 'Neptune Society' - cremation without burial or a niche. Is there any way to get him listed on findagrave to complete the family picture?

Thank you for the picture of Nathaniel Bartlett's grave stone, however there is some obstruction of the lower part. Can you tell me what it says? Is there any reference to Revolutionary War service?

RE: Joshua Gage.
Thanks I'll go with what that also then. Now my really big thing is, oh yes, Ann Augusta Gage Reed Merrill is my great grandmother. Now back to the big thing, I see where people put 19 January 1870 for Elias P. Gage's death date, when he is found on the federal census in Burns, Allegany, New York with his daughter, Jane (Lydia) Mccaslin and granddaughter Mary Mccaslin, he is listed as 74 years of age which would put him at 1796 for birth. This family has had many puzzles.

Joshua Gage.
I am a distant relative of Joshua and have been doing some research and I'm wondering if you can help me. I'm a bit confused by the different birth and death dates.

New York Town Clerks' Registers of Men who served in the Civil War. Gives date of Birth: 5 April 1832. It also have 'died' 23 July 1863.

War Department Q.M.C Form 14 Revised 1928
Interment in the Soldiers Home, D.C. National Cemetery, lists name, rank, Co., Reg., Arm. It has date of death as July 30, 1863 (Could this be interment date), and grave no. 2410.

U.S. 'Burial' Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, 1862-1960 for Joshua Gage: Gives name, Rank, Regiment, date of death, and grave No. They also list July 30, 1863, (I believe this to be the date of interment since it's a burial register) grave No 2410.

Do you think this could be possible? I would appreciate your thoughts.

Marlene Martocchio
Child Cemetery Cornish NH
Hello. I am related to the Nelsons buried here. Curtis Sullivan Nelson is my 2nd ggrandfather. He is buried with Mary Metcalf Nelson and Oscar Nelson. I see that you have recently made a trip there to photo the headstone for Harry James/Betsey Emerson. Thank you for that. On more than one occasion I have tried to contact the cemetery office but have gotten no results. I am two hours away in MA. Is there anyone ever there such as a groundskeeper or employee who could gain access to the internment cards? I would like Curtis' and Mary's at least. All the Nelson's buried in Child Cem listed on the FindAGrave site as of this date are related. Any assistance you can provide would greatly be appreciated. Thank you. Regards, Marlene.

RE: Asa Keniston, Tilton, NH
You're welcome!

I'm pretty sure he's not a direct ancestor of mine. Several of us are contributing to the memorials at Park in Tilton, trying to put some more identity to the information on the veterans' graves.

Thank you for making the additions!

Patience (York) Groves in Cornish Flat Cemetery

Hello Ginny,

Thank you for taking the gravestone photo of Patience (York) Groves in Cornish Flat Cemetery. We don't know of anybody else she was related to who is buried in that cemetery. Do you recall if anyone was buried near her? I could create a memorial and submit a photo request for any gravestone near hers that looks like they might be related.

Sincerely, Tim Cooper
