Judy Williams
Elizabeth Wellington
Hi Deborah, I'm getting my maps etc. ready for a trip out to Mount Hope and had a question about Elizabeth. There is no one by that name in the cemetery records. There is, however, a Mercy E. Wellington who was buried in 1922 at the same age Elizabeth was. Could this be the same person? She died of chronic myocarditis and bronchitis and lived on Roxboro road.

Re: Your photo request's...
I would like to take your photo's...But, the woman who is in charge of the cemetery, last time i went there to get photo's...she told me that she wasnt supposed to allow people to get this photos unless you had permission from the family to do so...So, i guess that is what i need from you. Could you e-mail a permission note, to get these photo's to give to her. You can e-mail me at tammommy2002@yahoo.com , ok.

Archibald Jones
Deb,

So generous of you to transfer these to me. Many, many thanks.

As I mentioned before, I'll take anyone related through my line if you so desire.

I wish someone else in my family were as interested as I am in the family history but they 're bored and have no idea what a rich AMERICAN history we have through these early settlers.

Ditto with my husband's family!

Melanie

RE: Throopsville Rural Cemetery
Thank you, Deb. They came through without any problem. If you have any others that you would like to move over to me, let me know.

I'd like to have my 3rd great grandfather, Archibald Jones (#58194574), and wife, Prudence (#58194534). It's up to you. They're buried in Harford, Cortland Co., NY.

I realize that we have a family link through the Jones family and now I'm thinking it may be through James Arthur Jones who was married to a Martin. James was the son of Noel Clements Jones. Now things seem to be fitting because I remember you had a correction for my tree regarding the husband of James' half-sister, Eva Jones Barlow.

Did I ever tell you that my mother, Martha Townsend, told me how she heard that Eva died? If this is to be believed, it seems that Eva's son, Raymond, had a pet monkey. The monkey was very mean and bit Eva and she died from the infection. There's an addendum to the story but it's very ugly so I'll only tell you if you ask me.

By the way, my mother was the last living child of Mary Rosetta Jones and Albert Townsend and she passed away last August from complications after breaking her hip. She was 91. So my last connection to family lore is gone. Her memory was not too reliable in the last few years but at one time she was a treasure trove of information.

Thanks again!
Melanie

Thank you, Deb.

I have been told that the easiest way to request a transfer is to click on the edit tab and send it to you. I have done that so hopefully that method provides all the information you require to make the transfer.

I appreciate it!
Melanie

Throopsville Rural Cemetery
Hi,

We have previously been in touch via our family trees on Ancestry. I am a great-granddaughter of Volney Jones who is buried in Throopsville Rural Cemetery in Cayuga County, NY.

Would you be willing to transfer "management" to me? I'd be happy to take it since I have much of the Jones family in that cemetery already.

Many thanks,
Melanie Richards

Actually all I did was take Jeff247's picture from Ebeneezer's memorial and post it to Sally Ann's memorial because they are one and the same. There can be no different picture. Happy to help, but there are no thanks necessary.

John and Mary Patrey
Per your photo request. I visited the Patrey Family Cemetery in Chester, NJ this morning and did not find either John or Mary Patrey.

Most of the gravestones in the cemetery are quite old and unreadable. Many are toppled, and if still there, partially or wholly buried.

I also checked the Chester Historical Society listing for the cemetery - http://www.historicchesternj.com/churchescemeteries/patreyfamilycemetery.html - they are not listed.

If you would like a general photo of the cemetery, please let me know.
