I totally agree about Sr and Jr having the same middle name, but I've also come across this with my family. Not my concept of Jr and Sr for the middle name to be different. But even the obituary for John Alex lists his son as John A, Jr.
A picture would help assuming there is a headstone and with dates. I have a list of my family to call Evergreen for plot locations, wish their website had that info. I don't know how cooperative they'd be if I went thru multiple names that have peaked my curiosity on the memorials I've posted. I've noticed that even their burial listings are no longer available. I'm hoping that maybe they are updating it and it will be back!

|A.Firefly||Wilhelm (now Friedrich Wilhelm) Centawer|
The death certificates for about 70000 Auschwitz prisoners have been found, and he was one. I only have an extract, not the entire archive of DCs (I think you have to get the microfilm for that, ugh, they have not been digitized).
He's listed as Protestant. However, "Jewish" is/was considered a race as much as a religion, so I suppose if he was of Jewish extraction and left the faith, he'd still be considered a Jewish victim...I have no dog in the fight, I just think it's fascinating that the DCs were found, even if they have only been boiled down into the most basic info from them.
I'd love to be able to enter the spouse names and parent's names, for them. It would be an amazing project. I've ordered the (really expensive) book, but it appears to only have the names, where born, birth and death dates, and "Religion".
Thanks for your reply and your hard work!

Yes, we have seen the movie. Randol Schoenberg and I know each other, but not well. We attend the same genealogy meetings/conferences.
I have another friend trying to get access to his relatives art that was taken in France. Difficult when they want documentation that no longer exists!

Can you please tell me what your source information was for Alma Pastarner Uhlig? I am particularly interested in finding out about her sister Helen O'Donnell and if PASTARNER may be an incorrect name. Appreciate any help you can give me.

|Madeleine Isenberg||Dachau Lied|
By a strange coincidence, I attended a lecture just one night earlier about Holocaust Music and learned about both the Dachau Lied and the Buchenwald Lied. Despite all that I have learned up til now, I never knew about these things!
Again, thanks for the great work you do with the bios.

|Madeleine Isenberg||RE: Dora Fischgrund|
Thanks for transferring to me.
Documentation of her birth does exist and that is what I have used. I removed the maiden name, so she is still Dora FISCHGRUND, and it looks like she did not marry. But I added the clarification of the mother's GRÜNWALD maiden name.
There are lots of errors in the Yad Vashem documentation and I try my best to notify them when I find something incorrect. Even for my own grandparents, my relatives messed up their pages of testimony. In the end, I had to resubmit yet another version.
But I certainly appreciate that you took the time and effort to add what you found. It is all an honor and tribute to those who perished. Wish there were more people like you!

Dear Bernardette, a kind reply costs the same of a brisk one. Just forget my previous email, if you can't read minds, I do not like to be polite when it's not worthy. Please always remember that this is a collaboration platform. Regards, Elisa Rolle

|Still seeking||Edward "Ed" Newell White, Sr.|
Bernadette, I wasn't sure which plot in which cem. you verified. I have removed the New Jersey info as you requested. My grandfather was definetly buried in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire alongside his wife Mabeth Susan (Baker) White. Not to be morbid, but I was at his funeral and saw his body lowered into the ground. He was never ever buried in New Jersey. That is definitly a mistake and confusion over somebody else with the same name.

|Still seeking||RE: Edward N White, Sr. @ Whiting Cemetery|
Someone way back when has made a mistake. I can almost guarantee my grandfather Edward "Ed" Newell White, Sr. was never buried in New Jersey. He died at home in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire. He is buried in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire with his wife my grandmother Mabeth Susan (Baker) White. I believe the name of the cem. is the South Village Cem. I need to get there and take another picture of their tombstone and then post it. I have done much research on the ancestors and relatives of my grandfather Edward Newell White and yes; he was the son of Max Albert White and Ida Louise (Luther) White. Robert and Phylis White are definetly not relatives of my grandfather, Edward Newell White. Must be some other White line.

PLEASE REMOVE my late father Murray R. King from findagrave. I never requested it and this is our families private plot. I do not want it on public records. People that are not related to us on ancestry.com are in violation of copy write and putting our family on their trees. I NEVER requested a photo from findagrave and have my own from my parents burial.
You did leave me an option to send a private message so I apologize that is is going to public view!
