RE: Hi Al!
Beth, sorry for the delayed response, I don't check Find A Grave too often. Yes, it's nice to find relatives around the country. Through FB I found a cousin in Florida who leads us back to the Mayflower! I'm not a big genealogy bug, but it confirmed a fun and interesting family story I'd heard since I was a kid!

RE: Jesse/Ann Jordan
You said you couldn't find stones. Did you have the section and plot information? I am looking for :
Jesse Jordan (1795-1870) & Ann B. (Mirick) Jordan (1802-1868)
buried Forest Hills Cemetery - Jamaica Plain - Section #11, Lot #1329 (On Honeysuckle Path).
Also, Henry Russell Eaton (1829-1890) & Rebecca Ann (Jordan) Eaton (1837-1923) Forest Hills Cemetery - Jamaica Plain - Section #26 Lot #2340 (On Maple Ave).

If you have time to look again, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for trying. The cemetery said they are buried there, and they had money so I expect a nice stone. Will write them again.

Herrema
Are you related to the Herrema family? I see that you have a Herrema folder and many of my relatives are in it. Are we related?

I just squealed out loud! After enlarging the picture you took and posted with names and dates, I saw name of relative who I had not been able to find!!!! I had no idea where he died. I will make a memorial page for Walter M Boothby and then will you please post same photos on his memorial. Wow. Thank you.

RE: Forest Hills
Thanks, Beth. Really appreciate all you are doing.

Forest Hills says Florence's brother is in the same plot as well - Harry A. Hunt # 127273976

They also made a note that James Patterson's ashes were in a small wooden box in the same plot, so that makes seven family members.

Frank Gale Bufford
Thank you. I added a memorial for his son, F. Gale Bufford, Jr., who was also on the stone, and made a photo request. Would you post your picture of his inscription?

Could you add your same photo to Florence's sister, Lenore Christine Hunt Cronin # 127274406 ?

Her name is on the lower base, under Florence. Also, is there any chance that my great-uncle's name James William Patterson is between Florence and Lenore?

I see something very faint, two lines of print, but due to the deterioration of the gravestone it is very difficult to see.

Thanks,

Fay

Fay Carmichael
Forest Hills
Thank you so much for the photo of Florence Patterson and her family.

So strange there is nothing for her husband, James William Patterson, my grandmother's brother. He and Florence were together at his death and, in fact, she is the one who had his ashes flown from California. There were no names on the reverse?

May I add your photo to our Ancestry tree, with a credit line?

RE: Thank you!
Let me know if you need any others. I have seen many pockets of Buikema's in the cemetery.

Hi Beth, delighted to hear from you!

Have done very little with the site recently, would like to expand it, but time seems to slip away quickly, and I've got far too many "projects" to work on!

I would send you my private email, but everything says this is a "public" message, and I already get too much spam!!

Would you consider transfering Anna Burkhardt's Memorial to me, a relative? I cannot add anything to your page.
