Salmon Memorials
Hello Richard - I transferred the two memorials to you that you requested. They are not my relatives directly - I did research for my aunt - they are hers. Looking forward to future postings for them.

RE: Kissee & Allison Markers
Hi Richard,

The cemetery is in really poor condition. It doesn't appear that anyone is taking care of it. Both stones were covered in mud. I had to do some grounds keeping to get them clean enough to photograph. It really is a shame when the owner of a cemetery doesn't care enough to do simple maintenance.

Transferred your great uncle to you. Glad to find connections. Feel free to add photo request, as there are many great active volunteers for photos at this cemetery. I'm just trying to get all the names entered to start.

Glad to help. By coincidence, my father knew Harry and Andre very well as they were his mechanics in Williston Park or Mineola - I can't remember which any more. Do you have a connection?

The Taylors
Richard,

I got the info for sally taylor from http://theusgenweb.org/ny/otsego/cemetery/taylorhl.htm I assumed the "t & L" was thomas and lydia but youre right..theres no way it couldve been theirs, but there was a timothy sr and timothy jr..

The first Taylors to come into Edmeston were Thomas Taylor (b. 1721) and
Lydia Capwell (b. 1723 RI) and several of their children (sons and
daughters). The positively identified sons include:
John (who was dead in 1793)
William (who had 10 children between 1783-1801)
Thomas Taylor Jr. (who had 9 children between 1781-1801)
Elder Stephen Taylor (who had no children)
and Deacon Timothy Taylor (who had 9 children between 1787-1800).

I am a descendant of Thomas and Lydia Taylor as well.

It goes:
Thomas and Lydia Taylor had a son William Taylor Born about 1755.
William married Sarah (Slater) Taylor after august 1775 died mar 20, 1802.
William and Sarah had a daughter Esther Taylor born about 1789..She married Cornelius Bulson.
Esther Taylor and Cornelius Bulson have a son John born July 1, 1815.
John marries Henrietta they have a son Washington Irving Bulson in 1840.
Washington marries Sarah (Johnson) Bulson has a son Reuben Bulson in 1879.
Reuben marries Martha (Owen) has a son Charles Gordon Bulson.
Charles Gordon Bulson marries Anna (Fessenden) Bulson has a son Charles Leroy Bulson.
Charles Leroy Bulson marries Margaret (Coburn) Bulson has a son Michael.
Michael is my dad.

I got backup from this website.

My aunt Laura and I started working on geneology and family trees together and found out we were related to the taylors..I started researching online and came across a Kim Branagan (The one who owns that link above)who was posting a TON of taylor stuff. Apparently I am related to her. She was my grandpas 6th cousin once removed. (He passed in 83) Anyways, if you havent been in touch with her..she has a few websites you should check out.

RE: Thomas Taylor - died 1804 - Taylor Hill Cemetery
Hi Richard,

It was great to get out to that cemetery. It is on a seasonal road so I thought it might be a downtrodden and overgrown cemetery, but it turns out that it has an endowment and is very well maintained. I looked into the Taylor family a bit and learned that Stephen W. Taylor, who I think was a grandson of Thomas Taylor was an early president of what later became Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and of what later became Bucknell U in PA.

If you would like to see more photos of the Taylor Hill Cemetery you can see them in an on line gallery. Photos with higher resolution than allowed by this site are available there for you to use.

Thomas & Lydia Taylor
Hi Richard..I saw that there were 3 of us that added Thomas Taylor and Lydia Taylor..(I am very distant relatives of theirs)I have deleted mine since you added them first, but I have additional information for you to add.

Heres the information I have for Lydia Jane Capwell:
•Death: of at the age of 87 years 14 MAR 1810 in Edmeston, Otsego Co., NY
•Note: Tree Talks Vol. 11, No. 2, gives the date of death as 15 Mar 1810.

•Married: 4 OCT 1743 in Providence, Providence Co., RI
•Note:
Justice John Burton performed the marriage between Thomas Taylor of Providence and Lydia Capwell, daughter of Stephen, of Warwick.

I have added a child to their page.
Father of Lydia Jane Capwell: 63562837
Heres what I have on Thomas Taylor:
Note: The random pieces of paper associated with Rosannah Taylor's Vital Records give the date of death as "the last day of October AD 1803

•Married: 4 OCT 1743 in Providence, Providence Co., RI
•Note:
Justice John Burton performed the marriage between Thomas Taylor of Providence and Lydia Capwell, daughter of Stephen, of Warwick.

Thomas Taylor - died 1804 - Taylor Hill Cemetery
Greetings,

I visited Taylor Hill Cemetery in Edmeston, Otsego County, New York and took a photo of the grave of Thomas Taylor - There were two requests for photos and I clicked on the top on in the list to mark the request fulfilled. There are three Thomas Taylor listing with the same year of death for that cemetery - but only one Thomas Taylor grave with that death date.

There must be some way to merge the records?
