I just noticed your memorial, I did a search and nothing came up, I looked one more time and yours came up. I'm glad the photos are still there. I'll tranfer the information from mine to your. Please do not transfer this memorial over to anyone! It will be safer if you just keep it. There is a rather mean family member who went through and deleted many family memorials.

Thank you for the original one that was deleted.

Donald Clyde Anderson
Donald Clyde Anderson was my great grandfather's (George Franklin Anderson)half brother. George's son Cecil was my grandfather. Did any of Donald's children have children? Are there any grandchildren? My grandfather and his family are all gone now and I wondered if there are any relatives left. There are a few of my momís cousins left but we do not have contact with them. Thank you for info.

Mary E Finney
Hi Tammy - thank you so much for taking the wonderful photos and posting them to FindAGrave... it has helped me link some family members.

You mention a unkempt grave marker with the name Larry Finney (# 80084938) next to Mary E Finney (# 73183674). I am wondering if it is her child or if it could be her husband? It is not Mary's twin, as she didn't have one. I don't suppose you recollect?

Mary E Ross Finney is the daughter of Charles W Ross (# 73228595) also buried in Military Crossing Cemetery. There are no other Finney relatives listed in that cemetery.

Thank you again for all your work!
Sincerely, Meri

Thomas Laxton
Thomas has a death certificate, #51018 (spelled Laxon), which shows his birth place as TN and death date Dec. 5, 1918 at Leeper, MO. So sad, he died just a short before their son, Tony did. Both from influenza.

Carson Hill Cemetery
There is a volunteer who has made hundreds of duplicate memorials in Carson Hill Cemetery. Some of them are of yours. I have asked her (Ollie Ford) to remove about 30 of mine.

RE: Synthia #90381866
Dear Tammy and Timothy,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I didn't see your email until today.

Yes, Synthia's parents are: Margaret Caroline Clippard Snider and Juluis Marion Snider. Margaret died much earlier than Juluis. I suspect it was when she had her last child, Benjamin, who lived and died in 1863, the year that Margaret died. Margaret is buried in the "Clippard" Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Julius is buried in the "Old Jackson City Cemetery" in Cape Girardeau.

Thank you for your work,
Laura Lewis

I tried that link I gave you, and couldn't make it work, so I did some more searches. This brings up the same page in a different format, and it seems to work better on my browsers:

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mowayne/wayneco_jrnl_1906.html

Sorry for all the confusion. Obviously, I'm still learning.

Clesie Lasater
I'm SO sorry for sending you blanks. I have to try to remember not to use this browser for sending public messages on Findagrave. I tried to send the link to Clessie's obit, but it posted as a blank line. Here it is again:

If that doesn't work, try a Google search for 'Clesie Bolinger Lasater' 'Wayne County Journal' obit. Transcribed by Sharon Hackworth [lworth1(at) charter(dot)net].

Cheers!

In searching for other info, I ran across the obit of Clesie Lasater. Thought you might want to take a look, since you have no bio on the memorial. Transcribed to rootsweb from, I believe, microfilm archives of the Wayne County [MO] Journal of 26Mar1906, which would contradict the gravemarker. As you probably know, that is not at all unusual. Newspaper obits are also often inaccurate, but it seems unlikely that the published obit came out in March, if the child didn't die until April. More probably Clesie was BURIED 10April. The marker may not have been carved until months or years later. I'm sure you have noticed the spelling discrepancy, as well. His father's name was David.

Cheers!

Only Rose York's given name appears on the KUDLIK monument and her surname has been omitted. Green-Wood Cemetery's staff pulled her burial records to confirm. She was divorced at the time of her death.

Did you read the caption to the image?

"Helen York's ashes are interred with those of Henry G. York; the family never bothered to add her name to the marker."

Hence the blank bottom half of the stone.

John's parents are also in Carson Hill Cemetery. There was a memorial for each of them, Jacob Amos Gross & Matilda Murray Gross. They were on the same headstone. There was a Freemason symbol on the monument.

Both memorials have been deleted

Can you please put them back up? My records show that the photos were added by you. So hopefully you still have them in your records.

Or I can put the memorials back up with permission to use your photos.

They were my great-great grand parents

Thank you for originally adding them.

I have my account set as private so no email available. So I will check back from time to time to see if the memorials are back up. If not I'll try emailing you.

Thank you
Bill
