Hi Donna,
Thank you so much for the information about the spelling of Dickson Paris. Who knew?

RE: R. Waller
Hey, Donna,

I got swamped yesterday, but got Mr. Waller's memorial updated this morning. Take a look and if there's anything you think needs to be changed, I'll be happy to update it.

Thanks,
Andy

Donna,
perhaps you could remove the photo as it doesn't belong to this memorial.

OK. I'll get that fixed up in the morning. When you're contacting the creator of the other memorial, you might ask them to contact edit@findagrave.com and request it be converted to a cenotaph (or maybe even do it yourself?).

Donna Ellison,

in regards to Edward P Waller

if you are referring to Edward P Waller (Sr.)1851-1906 then yes...his father is Roberson Waller

I'd like to add a little bit more on this memorial. From the photo it looks like there aren't any dates or anything more, but how big is the fenced enclosure? Is it an adult grave or is it child-sized?

Thanks,
Andy

Ahh. They've changed the style of the cemetery pages, so the it has a map tab instead of in an inset on the main page. I wasn't aware of that, so I didn't think there was a map at all. *Sigh*.

I added a rough description of where it is, and added the link to your profile page.

Thanks again for all your help!

Donna,

Thanks for the update. I did get the edits you sent for Eldred Hudgens. The way the "new" edit system works is that suggested edits show up under the "Edits" tab on a Find-A-Grave member's profile page. They have the opportunity to accept (which I did for Eldred) or reject the edits. From my experience, if a user doesn't act on them for whatever reason (doesn't know about the "Edits" tab, isn't active, etc.), after about two weeks or so Find A Grave implements them automatically. I think you could still probably send in a manual, old-fashioned edit request if you like, good in those especially complicated situations.

I saw the cemetery photo you sent in. Find A Grave approves those for cemeteries and they did that pretty quickly.

I took the liberty to add a little bit of description about the condition of the cemetery based on your message. If you'd like, I can mention you by name and/or link to your profile rather than use the generic "A Find A Grave memberů".

I'm also happy to update the location, or add directions, or add anything else.

Let me know,
Andy Baker

Fascinating finds you've made! I'm on vacation for the next week and a half and will look at this some more when I get home. I think I will add Maria so maybe we can keep the interest going on finding out if they are in that grave yard. Again, thank you so very much for searching this out for me. I'll work the family end a little more to see what additional info we can find on why thoughts are that they were buried there, etc.

RE: Waller Cemetery Guadalupe co Texas
Hey, Donna,

No I'm not related to anyone there, but what a kind offer. I believe those names were on the Guadalupe TXGenWeb page so I took it on myself to create memorials in case anyone was looking.

If you do go, however, I'll be happy to update the cemetery listing with any information you might find: directions/how to get there, GPS coordinates, condition of the cemetery, whether there are other marked/unmarked graves, etc. (The only thing I CAN'T do is add a photograph of the cemetery; those have to be emailed in to Find-A-Grave to be added.)

Thanks again for your generous offer,
Andy Baker

RE: Deveraux at San Marcos Cem.
doing fine....seems that Cheryl Schouten (sp?) is pretty much covering the San Marcos Cemetery, so Edward and I are branching out. We were comparing the Boy Scout list with the Find A Grave list. She and I emailed back and forth and she seems to love that cemetery (but so do we!) Anyway, Edward and I still have lunch most Thursdays or Fridays at Cafe on the Square and would love for you to join us. 11:30 tomorrow (april 4)

RE: Sarah C. (Graves) Johnson Burial Marker
Donna, I don't know about the other Johnson lady's marker. The other Johnson could be a sister-in-law to Sarah. The only other female Johnson I know would be Daisy Johnson b.1879 d. abt 1903. However, her married name is Oldham. Daisy is the daughter of Sarah.

I think Henry had several relatives in Texas and back in Louisiana that probably took the kids. That's part of what is making this research difficult.

RE: Antleys
Thanks for the census information. Yes - sad story and for her husband Henry. Maria was his second wife and she had died very young also. Henry remarried a Melissa Booth in 1873 but then she died seven years later. Henry lived to be 92 and died in 1920 if my records are correct - tough old bird.
Will you be able to get to the cemetery for pictures?

Donna,

Thanks so much for responding. I'm working on lineage for a lady applying to the DAR. We have some notes showing that this family lived here for a while - back and forth between TX and LA. Anything you have on the families would be appreciated.
