Kerry Lee Harman
I found more info on Kerry Harman...including names of other children. He was also a High School Band Teacher in Copan, OK in the early 70's.

Cathy Marie Harman, 59, of Bentonville, died Monday, July 20, 2009, in Benton County. She was born Jan. 3, 1950, to Billy D. Stanbery and Winifred Pauline Billbe Stanbery.

She was a teacher for the Bentonville Schools for 30 years, most recently teaching at Apple Glen Elementary School in Bentonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kerry Lee Harman; and a son, Kevin Lee Harman.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Marie Harman Cox and Gregory Blane Cox of Bella Vista, and Tracy Lynn Woodall and Michael Todd Woodall of Gentry; her parents, Billy Dean and Winifred Stanbery of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Larry Dan Stanbery of Grapevine, Texas; a sister and brotherin-law, Paula Dean and Dennis Michael Webb of New Bern, N.C.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were July 23 at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, with Brother Phillip Smith officiating.

Capt. John Pease and wife Harriet Maude Staywell
Below are the children of Capt. John C. Pease and Maude Staywell Pease.

John Cuthbert James Pease 1862
Maud Harriet "Hattie" Pease 1865 1943
Willoughby Stawell Pease 1870 1954
James Edward Pease 1874 1953
George William Pease 1876 1955
Walter Lawrence Pease 1879 1963

George W.Pease married 2 times. One wife was a Kennedy. She and her children by George Pease were on the Osage Roll. That is the only connection that we can find to Native Americans, unless some of the other brothers married Osage women. Capt. John and his wife were English---no Native American blood.

Capt John C. Pease and Maude Staywell Pease are buried together at Nowata,OK. Neither of them were ever married to anyone else.

The only daughter of
Capt.John and Maude Pease was Maude Harriet "Hattie" Pease. She married Tyre Clifton Hughes in Kansas. Tyre and Hattie Hughes had just one daughter, Maude. She married John Clay Small. These are the gr-grandparents of my friend that I'm helping with her family tree. Maude died after giving birth to her 2nd son. HattiePease and Tyre Hughes raised both of their grandsons after their daughter's death.

Below is a link to see Hattie Pease Hughes' interview in Oklahoma's Pioneer Stories, I believe in the 1930's. Her interview describes her family's move from Massachusetts to Kansas. This is a very interesting family!
