RE: king
Yes, my husband's Gaines family (Frances M. Gaines) married into the King family. So I wasn't tracing the King line, which is why I didn't recognize the connection. Frances was a cousin and granddaughter of my husband direct Gaines ancestor. Sorry to be so dense. Diane

RE: King family
Thanks for the email address update; can you brief me on what we were talking about in our emails. I don't seem to have a record in my genealogy email box for you, but assume it is to do with the King family in Texas. Please remind me. Thanks.

John "J-Cat" Griffith
RE: General sibley
Civil War Confederate Brigadier General Sibley, on February 21, 1862. moved up the Rio Grande seized Albuquerque, then Santa Fe and moved on to Fort Union. High in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at Glorieta Pass, Sibley's Texans beat a federal force of Colorado "Pikes Peakers" on March 28, 1862, but lost their entire supply train to a raiding party. Forced to evacuate the territory, he began a disastrous retreat through the mountains. He reached San Antonio in the summer of 1862, having lost a third of his men in New Mexico.

Forman family cemetary
I am a contributor living very close to Rose Hill I went by there the other day to see if I could see anything without trespassing as soon as I entered the driveway there was a stop stign reminding me not to trespass but I figured there was no harm in going up to knock on the door for something so meaningful however there was no answer at the main house (common in this area alot of big houses that no one lives in the pay locals to clean and they show up now and then and usually have caretakers on the property} there were two other houses on the property but I didnt feel comfortable going there as everyone has a right to privacy but I did take a photo of the historical marker for you if you are interested it mentions the Forman Family .I am sorry that I was unable to fill your request however if you can obtain permission from the property owner or caretaker I will Happily return and I can help with the estates actual address and zip the estates address is 1100 Grove Neck RD Earleville Md 21919 he other houses are 1110 and 1120 they are more likely to respond as they live there full time I hope this helps I dont know how to attach a photo here but if you send your email I will send it to you Good Luck Lori

Beulah Cemetery
Hi Moshiko!
Just wanted to alert you that you have Robert J. Boyer's death and birth dates reversed. Also, he was a SR not a JR.

Sorry about the glare, it was a very bright day. Please note that there are also 2 Elizabeth Sebrings, both listed on the same monument.

RE: Brush Creek
No I don't know who owns the land where
Brush Creek is suppose to be.
I was told that he had pulled up the stones
and used them for backdoor steps.I think
a check with the courthouse would tell
ownership.I don't live in that county,
but can ask somene who does.

Brush Creek
All sign of Brush Creek cemetery is gone.
It's on private land and I'm told the
owner doesn't allow anyone on his land.
I've looked several times and can't find
it.I don't have GPS,so harder to find.
