|Donovan Baldwin, Jr.||James Brewer Transfer|
Thanks for the transfer. Don't know where grave is located, but will drive down there from DFW soon and see if I can find it. You are right, however, probably unmarked. Family was not well off back then, and family members in other places are in unmarked graves as well.

I started doing some research on my grandfather's (Hubert Nelson Alsup) genealogy, and I was very pleasantly surprised as to how much information I was able to find. Thanks to people like you who take the time and care about the history of family.

|joseph lilly||Louie Aaron Monk Jr.|
Tommy & Janice: My wife is kin to Louie Monk Jr and I wonder if you all were familiar with Louie personally. I am trying to do genealogy on the Monk family. I knew John Thomas Monk Jr. as he was my wifes uncle and her father worked for him. Louie is in the Auburn Cemetery, Ellis County, Tx. Any info would be helpful. Joe Lilly

By the time you read this, you will probably already know that I have transferred the memorial to you. I also wanted you to know that I will be adding a headstone photo to the memorial (unless you prefer not to have one on the memorial) sometime later this fall when the weather gets cooler. Normally I go out to the cemetery and photograph the headstones that need memorials and/or photos and then add to Find A Grave. Right now it's just to hot to photograph nearly 250 graves. Most every grave in Block 18 needs a memorial added to Find A Grave. I am using a transcript of Rosehill to add the memorials and then plan to go back out later in the fall and obtain the photos.

|Susann||Re: James Skipper|
Sorry, but the photo I added for him was among a bunch I took at the cemetery one day, and I don't know the family. Looks like his father may be buried at Angleton Cemetery, according to his death certificate.

If I can find them I sure will. I am photographing one section at a time. I have enumerated and photographed several cemeteries in Kaufman County in the past but none this huge. I am 43 but told my husband I didn't know if I would EVER finish Myrtle. That thing is huge :) I don't get out to Myrtle often either. Usually a couple hours worth of walking in a few months is all I do. But keep checking back now and then and see if I have added them yet. Have a great day.

|Cecil Vaden Jr.||RE: Roma C. Stott|
You are welcome. While I was there I found their son Malcom Owen, and Albert & Eulah Hutchins (with whom they share a headstone) buried there also. I added Memorial pages and took pictures. I am not related and will transfer if requested. I will add the pictures if you request them. Use the "Request A Photo" tab on the memorial and let me know.

There appears to be a transcription at the bottom of this stone. Can you verify that, and, if so, can you tell me what it says?

|Marcus Gann||cemetery records|
Are there any written cemetery records for this cemetery from when it was established to now? If so how can I review them? How does one know who was buried in this cemetery besides reading grave markers? I am looking for evidence for certain people that may be buried in Auburn Cemetery. I am Marcus Gann and my Aunt is Mittie Lou Wiginton who you have spoken to I believe. The find a grave information about some of the Gann's originated from me but not totally. I am assuming that the initials on the tombstones that match the individuals I am researching indicate that they are buried there. Not concrete proof. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and good hunting.
