Adams Family
I was contacted by another Adams. Here is the e-mail he sent me.

Mike Adams

My dad was :

Willie Dixon Adams

grandfather James Thomas Adams

great grandfather John Q Adams

2nd great grandfather James A Adams

3nd great grandfather John Adams , married to Mary Martin Adams

I am also kin to the same Adams from my mother side

Louise Haynes is my mom

Grandmother Ruby Jarrett

Great grandmother Pencie Ferguson Haynes

2nd great grandmother was Easter Adams Ferguson married to james Ferguson

3nd Great Grandfather was Joesph J Adams

4nd great grandfather was Paul Adams

5nd great grandfather was again John Adams married to Mary Martin Adams that was also married to John Banks

My 2nd Great Grandfather ( James Adams ) is the one that Mary Banks talked about when selling land to Joshua Adams. Not a lot of stuff is out there on my side, but what I have given Ms kirkman in Patrick County.

I have been doing a lot on Mary Martin Adams Banks. One site said she is buried on the hill with son Joshua and John Adams. Also it shows she is married in Floyd County with John Banks. I have land in Floyd and I know where it said she is buried, so I am going there in the morning to check that out. I have a lot of papers on her and looking at them and what is out there, a lot of add on, here and there. But I have something I will get together and send you. James A Adams wife is buried at Old Center Church beside her 2 daughters. I found that up there one day with the man that wrote the book on where people was buried in patrick County, Mr Pilson. She is buried near my grandfather and Great Grandfather and father. Anything you have or pic's of any of them, I would love. I also have hollandsworth's that married John Q Adams, my gg father. I have a lot of them also.

Thanks and hope we can talk and learn more.

Peggy I made a big mistake! Nancy Adams Martin is not the daughter of Joshua & Elizabeth Adams. Our Nancy married Charles P Nolen. She is buried in the Nolen Cemetery in Patrick Co. VA

RE: Elder Joshua Adams
He is buried at the Mulberry Cemetery in Elkin, Surry Co. NC I have a memeorial for him on Find A Grave
Lucy Annn Adams Key is buried at the State Road cemetery in Satae Road Surry Co. NC She married Joseph Dodson Key.
The deed came from, the family that bought the farm from our Adams family. I just cant remember their names. But it has been owned by the sam family all these years.
Hilda and I went to Patrick Springs to the old cemetery on the farm and they gave us a copy of the deed.

Tesh
I posted Tesh death certificates because there was no marker for Coley and "no Tesh found" as response from owners of Gethsemane for Lillie Mae. Once you have viewed the certificates, they can remain or I can delete them, as you wish.

RE: Lettie Wilson
You have a very full life style what with a spouse, kids, pets, etc. My adding to your busy workload would only diminish the quality of attention you currently devote to the living family members. Please do keep me in mind if you are feeling sick. Thank you

Jacob and Sarah "Sallie" Puckett
Are these two memorials the same as the memorials listed in Jacob Puckett Cemetery in Caroll County, VA.: Jacob 112174573 and Sarah 112174662

If these are not the same I will remove the cemetery
I don't have any sources at this time.

Lillie Mae Tesh Information
Isom Barnard Adams Memorial# 58949873 will interest you. This is Lillie Mae Tesh's father. He and Kizzie Hall, as evidenced by Lillie Mae Tesh death certificate B 48 P264, are Lillie Mae Adams' parents. She is yet to be listed among the children on Memorial# 58949873. You may find interesting that the person who maintains Isom B. Adams memorial has written a book about her ancestors. You may want to secure a copy.
Lillie Mae died of Cerebral Accident. Do you already have this information?

When you hear from funeral home and cemetery, maybe you can re-post photo request. They informed me the cemetery records do not show her there. Yet her death certificate does say she is at Gethsemane.

Coley FranklinTesh-your photo request update
Coley F. Tesh: As evidenced by Carteret County death certificate B 53 P 329, Coley died July 12 (not July 2) at Carteret general Hospital, cause liver disease. Father: Benjamen Franklin Tesh; Maiden name of mother Lizzie Coroush (This could involve a correction also.)

Grave was free from City of Morehead City; there no evidence of a grave marker. I did check with the City Office regarding this. Hope this is some new information for you.

Respectfully,

Barb

Hello,

I uploaded E. Henry Valentine's grave photo this evening for you. His wife, Belle, is buried beside him. I also uploaded a photo for her memorial, and her mother (Belle Damish Ross). Her father, James Ross, already had a photo on Find A Grave.

Hope this helps,

RE: Warren Davis Civil War pension record
Thanks. I will keep looking. Are you on Ancestry? I could look that way at the pension you mentioned. To see two sets of Warren and Matilda makes looking a challenge doesn't it. I've been there with my tree many times. Recently with a set of twins. What state are you in now? My birthday today so I will be busy with my family after work today. Tomorrow is a trip to Andersonville to remove the artificial Christmas wreats from my mom and brother's graves. And, take headstone pictures too. I'll keep looking. Cheers!

RE: Warren Davis Civil War pension record
That helps. I did see that there was a Warren B. Davis that was on the confederate side. Interesting that both Warren's had a wife that filed for pension after their husband died in 1920. The pension I saw was for the Warren from Mo. I will look some more as I didn't look in the Carolinas since you mentioned Mo. Sorry I didn't email the links last night. It was a long, long day. :O)

Cheers,

Terry
