Hi Ho
Number Trolls
I support you 100%, there are to many number trolls that only care about how they look and not in honoring the the passed. I'm dealing with one right now that likes the blood and gore deaths. SICKO

Hello Sheilie,
You are welcome for the gravestone photo. It is nice to be able to "pay it forward" by answering requests when I can.

Sydney C Janes #74183061

Do you know if a lot of Confederate prisoners are buried in this cemetery? (Atlanta) I couldn't read the inscription on the bottom of Sydney's stone but I am so happy you took a picture of it :) Family lore says he died in the Civil War fighting for the Confederates & brother Thomas fought on the Union side. His birth year fits and the death date would be right timewise. He probably enlisted in Missouri & Logan Co is maybe 200 miles away. Thank you so much for all the work you've done for findagrave - I DO agree with you. We're just trying to find out if this is our Sydney C ! Confederate recs a bit scarce.

your bio
Hello Sheilie, I so totally agree with you. Some people it is a number game. There are some volunteers in my area that do nothing but enter memorials by daily obits, which is like you wrote, does not give loved one a chance to enter their own memorial for one they just lost.
I enjoy going out walking around finding those that have been gone a long while. I also do a little research on them. Don't give up. Genealogy research is challenging & I find it rewarding not only finding my own, but helping others with theirs. We need more people like you... Bobbie

Thank you for searching for Frank, Sylvia & Alma Yates. Now there is a new mystery to the family as to why they are in unmarked graves!
I really appreciate your time & effort, and that of the other 3 searching. I went ahead & cancelled the requests for Sylvia & Alma.
Have a safe 4th of July.

I cannot thank you enough for the photos of Rogers' graves. I was there in 2003 when I was in seminary in Evanston and I only knew part of the family then. Now I'm in upstate NY, so the chances of returning are not great! I can't tell you how delighted I am to see these photos. Many, many thanks!

RE: Lucy Baker Headstone
No, I don't have her obit. I tried getting a death record once and they couldn't find one so I figured there wouldn't be anything. Then I found where she was buried and took a chance. If you could find her obit, that would be great, Thanks, Mary

RE: Lucy Baker Headstone
Yes, please I would like to have the records. Yes it is possible that his name was John. I have never found John associated with him in any records but that doesn't mean that John wasn't one of his names. They had a son named John. Thanks a lot, Mary

Thanks Sheilie for the photo. In the cemetery records, did you notice if it had Johnson for her maiden name or any other pertinent info? Her husband is buried in Kentucky but his name was Basil Baker. Hmmm. Thanks again, I appreciate your time, Mary
