If you would like to update your memorial with the information I have from my Grandson's mother I would be happy to remove the memorial for you as I seem to have been the last to put one up...

RE: Jesse Robertson
While i know that they are buried there, I searched the cemetery a number of times and unfortunately, if there ever was a marked stone (or stones) for Jesse and Tamer, it did not survive. It is possible that there was never anything other than a simple fieldstone marking their graves.

RE: George Liddle
It is sad when there are no headstones. I was working on my family tree and noticed the photo request for Roselawn. And I thought my husband "Dan" would know. So he pulled out a book and verified it and also went to the location and sent me the picture. There was a volunteer in Chicago who helped me link my family that I never new existed until recently. So I thought I would pay it forward. Tomorrow I will be going to get the other request... Much thanks to my husband Dan!

George Liddle
My husband is the foreman at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield, IL. I saw the burial records to verify the burial of George Liddle. There was no headstone placed. I have added a photo with a caption that was just taken today. The burial plot listed is correct.

Who's stone with Jane Dyke
Hi...I'm searching for family & found a pic for my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandmother, Jane Dyke, in the Grassy Ridge Cem. On her memorial, you have add a pic, but it isn't shaped the same as Jane's, you made the comment that it was very hard to read, but you didn't say who's name was on the stone! Can you fill me in??? Thanks for putting pics on here. Sure helps those who can't afford to travel. Looking forward to finding out who this stone belongs to!!

Cemetery photos
I agree completely with your bio. I allow anyone to use my photos of their family members stones.
I find memorials created before the person is even but in the ground. What good is having thousands of photos and not share them.
I suppose the headstones are really copyrighted and we should not be allowed to lift or copy that image without permission of a family member. Might make it difficult with a 150 year old stone. If we copyrighted the headstones, there would be no Find A Grave.
I have located many family members through this site. Hope it continues.
Please do not stop. It is people like you who make it possible for us old folks to locate lost family.
You also allow use of your photos, instead of steal in your bio, could you use "use".
Thanks much for your work.

Linked to George Page. Would you please post your marker picture there also. I didn't want to send a lot of folks chasing after the photo on a regular photo request when you had it in hand.
Thank You.

Thanks,

RE: Metta Wert
Hi Sheilie,
I am going through some very, very old emails and have found that I have been remiss in acknowledging your thanks for the photo of Metta Wert in Logan County, Oh. I was reading over your bio and thinking about your feelings. Please don't let the rudeness of other people take away something you enjoy doing to help others connect to their past. We need
compassionate volunteers such as yourself to help us to continue to connect to our past.
Thanks for all you do for Find-A-Grave.
Deb A.

People out for numbers
YOu do not know me, but I stumbled onto your contributor page and saw that you are having the same trouble I am having in my area. A person taking over inactive memorials and she also makes up memorials because they are logical. when you confront her she is not easy to deal with. She has run a good friend of mine off of Find A Grave and then took her memorials. She is not going to run me off. She copies from cemetery books then request photos. if the photos are not perfect she request them again. she even request photos for people she made up as being in a cemetery. i spent several hot days searching for the graves before i realized what she had done. I wish Find A Grave would handle people like her. but they ignore me.
Cindi Tilley
PS thanks for letting me vent.

Hi Ho
RE: Number Trolls
I'm worried about listing my family on Find A Grave, I have seen to many number and Ghoul trolls that do not represent the majority of people. They use this site for the good that it offers. These trolls manage to take the good and turn it into bad, seen it happen with a couple family members I happen to locate on the site, if it wasn't for trying differant name spelling variations I would of never found them.
