Robert Wellman
I believe my mother went to live with Martha Wellman when my Grandmother Evelyn passed away. Recently learned Robert re-married, did not keep the children then died three years later.
My mother use to tell me her father died from a broken heart.
The only thing I know of my Grandmother Evelyn is that my mother Doris Lee said she loved music and dancing and laughing. When I asked how she handled her mothers death my mother told me the night after the furnal of her mother, (Rodney could not attend for he was still in the hospital and unaware of his wifes death) Evelyne came to her and sat on the end of her bed. I asked if she was frightened and she said it was very calming. Her mother told her she loved her and will always watch over her and her brother Rodney. She also told Doris to take care of her Brother, then went away.
Can anyone fill in some blanks?

Robert Wellman

Robert Wellman was my Great Grandfather. His Son, Rodney died in 1940, three years after my Grandmothers death. They were both in their 20ies when they passed away.
I have been attempting to fill in the blanks from the time my mothers mother (Evelyn Matheney/Wellman)pasted away to when she married my father (Marion Willett)at the age of 16. With four children in tow sometime in the early 60ies they migrated to California. My parents only kept contact with my fathers mother, Elizabeth Hilpp/Willtt, and my Uncle Tommy Willett. Her brother Rodney Walker Wellman joined the military and came to live with us in the later 60ies.
Anyone have insight on the Missing years of 1937 to 1960 with my Family.

Oops, sorry, wrong husband on the first try. You have Sidney Stollings' date of death listed as 1926, but I have found him listed in a 1930 census with his wife, Gertie Miller Stollings & children. Gertie remarried Donald Ray Ball in 1934 and is listed in Donnie's household in the 1940 census. I cannot find a death certificate or any information on her first husband, Sidney Stollings. Do you know where you found his date of death?

Riland Hager
Debbie, have you been to the Vance Cemetery at Holden WV? My cousin sent me some old photos of his great grandparents, Riland and Mary Ann Hill Hager, telling me they were buried on the Left Fork of Twelvepole Creek in Mingo County. Riland's death certificate says he was to be buried at the Hager Cemetery in Mingo County.
Have you been to Vance Cemetery in Holden to see if Riland and Mary Ann's stones are there? Thank you so much for any info you might have.

I just sent you an edit but the birth year should remain 1972 as the stone says. I've had 1973 in my records for years but I don't want to argue with the headstone date. Sorry for the confusion.

At Lordsburg. You added a picture for a memorial I created. I just want to thank you. I am not related. It is nice to see what these people who are gone looked like and read about their families.

Possible burial location for Arminta Shreve
I saw your request for a picture of markers for the Shreeves at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill, WV. I will be making a trip there this summer and will get what pictures I find. I did notice that Arminta Shreve (notice spelling of last name) is buried there but find no listing for David. Arminta was born October 27, 1851 and died January 3, 1937. Her plot number is B 556 1. Do you want a picture of this one?

Prater grave markers
Debbie,
I noticed that you entered many Prater's in Find A Grave that are buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Coshocton County, Ohio. I was at this cemetery yesterday and took pictures of their grave markers. Nora Greene the wife of Columbus Prater is related to my Green/Greene ancestors. I went to school with some of their grandchildren. I thought you may want to revisit the Prater memorials that you entered to see the pictures. Feel free to copy them.

Just noticed that I had duplicated one of your pages - I think you have him in the wrong Ballard Cemetery (there are quite a few around here). He is actually in the Burwell Ballard Family Cemetery. Is it okay if I just transfer my page to you so that you have the photos I took of his tombstone? My memorial is #119514028. Let me know if this is okay.

Evans Cemetery
Debbie, did you create the Evans Cemetery in Bradshaw, WV? If so, could you add in these directions?

This cemetery is located on Rt. 80 between the mouth of Oosley Creek and Bradshaw on the big curve above the football field. Cemetery is in bad condition with its overgrown tress and brush.

Thanks,

Valerie

Green & Prater transfers
The Green & Prater memorials that you entered in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Coshocton County, Ohio are all related to me through my mother Edna Green Baker. Felix Prater worked with my father in my uncles (Fred & Hoy Green) coal mine. This coal mine was under my father's farm. I went to school with the Prater children and I am still in contact with them.
