Transfer made and you're welcome! I recently re-photoed McDaniel and need to check to see if Mr. Blumenthal has a more permanent marker now.

RE: Delmon Abraham Wise Family
Good Morning,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your kind offer to transfer Delmon Wise's memorial to me. I have been trying to find the time to research and see if I can connect his line of the Wise family to my own, but have not had any success thus far. I find that happens quite often when you get back before the 1850 census records. So, at this point, I think it would be best if you maintain management of his memorial. Thank you so much for making the links and for making the offer of a transfer. I have found some links to Nellie Wise and I will send a sac for that. Again, Thank you!
Sharon

I will transfer Mr. Dill's memorial to you. My son and Teresa's daughter are in the same grade at Bangs Middle School. They have always seemed like such sweet people to me.

Jeannette

I noticed in your bio that you live in
Brownwood. I was born and raised until the 8th grade in Zephyr and I have many fond memories of Brown County. Finally moved next door to Brady.
My parents and many, many other relatives are buried at Zephyr. Until my mother's death two years ago, I was a regular visitor to Brownwood.

I have transferred the memorials for the six Hatfields you requested.

Take care.

I think I found it:

1880 United States Federal Census about Newton C. Brown
Name: Newton C. Brown
Age: 29
Birth Year: abt 1851
Birthplace: Arkansas
Home in 1880: Precinct 2, San Saba, Texas
Race: White
Gender: Male
Relation to Head of House: Son
Marital Status: Single
Father's Name: John J. Brown
Father's Birthplace: Tennessee
Mother's Name: Sarah C. Brown
Mother's Birthplace: North Carolina
Neighbors: View others on page
Occupation: Merchant
View image
Household Members:
Name Age
John J. Brown 64
Sarah C. Brown 60
Newton C. Brown 29
Lebecca A. Brown 25
John M. Brown 23
Lawson A. Brown 20
George H. Brown 18
Eliza C. Brown 14

If this is them, the Newton C (NC) Brown listed here would have been 60 years of age in 1911, which would be about right according to the news article.

The news article you sent (thanks) said that NC Brown was an elderly gentleman.

The above census also lists four son's, not including George W Brown who is also listed on the above census.

I will continue my search and see where this rabbit hole leads......

Thanks,

George Henry Brown
I also had looked at this person over the weekend as a possible father of our George W Brown however, I don't think he is for the following reason:

All of the listing on Ancestry.com I have seen for the George W Brown, son of George Henry Brown (44192112) and Dora Alive Brown show him as being born in 1897.

If this George Henry Brown (44192112) is the father of our George W Brown (101545743), that would make George W Brown (husband of Sallie born in 1878) almost 20 years younger then our Sallie.

If you consider the information contained in the various news articles relating to her murder, they stat that George W Brown had 5 children from a prior marriage who were old enough to go to the carnival without George or his new wife Sallie on the night she (Sallie) was murdered.

I'm pretty sure our George was not 20 years younger then our Sallie based on that information and therefore, this George Henry Brown is not the father of our George W Brown unless, all the dates are incorrect.

George Henry Brown
Hi Coz,

Just curious, who do you suspect this George Henry Brown to be, the father or the son?

If you notice on the news articles you so wonderfully found, the husband of our Sarah "Sallie" Brown (Wilson) (Weatherford) is listed as George W Brown and on the Sallie's death certificate there is a George Henry Brown listed as informant.

Thanks,
