Emil and Emma Hausler
I was wondering if you are related to Emil and Emma Hausler, I see you posted photo's of them. I was just wondering what the cause of death was if you know, just curious because they died within months of each other and were so young.

Ralph Franks
Franks and more Franks
Hello rebekahpaw, I was told by a non Franks that you were a very active Find A Grave Franks contributor. So am I, as I was born and grew up in White County, TN which was the location that the large group of Franks (descendants of a Jacob) came to take up land grants on their way west to settle what was then a new nation. This group came to be known and is still referred to as the "Caney Forks Franks"My 3-great-grandfather, Joseph (wife, Rebecca) was one of the first and he planned to settle permanently in White Co. He started the operation of the first ferry across the Caney Fork river so newcomers would have a way to get into the county. He also was appointed or elected White CO.'s first ever Court Justice among other things. But a squabble over poorly marked property lines caused them to scatter west quicker except a couple that went to Marion Co, AL My Joseph was one of those, but it seems that he went on to Itawamba Co, MS. Do you know of anything about all of the above. Feel free to communicate with me about any of the above or anything Franks Thank You, Ralph Franks

Mary F Weeks edit
I suggested an edit on Mary F Weeks, and I was too hasty... I see that this is a different person altogether. Please ignore the edit suggestion. I'll pay more attention next time.
Thanks for all the work you do with our ancestors.

Ray Franks
Franks Cemetery
My name is Ray Franks and I am a direct descendent of those buried in the Franks cemetery. While I am from Marion County I was never aware of my ancestors till years ago me and my father started working on our family tree. Recently I went in search of this location with my father and we found the old Franks Cemetery. I can provide location information if anybody is interested. Also I plan to talk to the current land owner and make improvements to better protect the location. There are a few head stones but some of these have been knock over due to cattle gaining access to this cemetery which I hope to remedy with a proper fence.
I can be reached at

Karla Gainey
Drucilla Walker's Father
Rebeka -

I see that you added Drucilla Walker Harris who is buried at the Goodwater Cemetery in Marion County. Drucilla is my 3rd great aunt and I am looking for information on her father, Thaddeus Dudley Walker. I found a note on someone's genealogy page that he is also buried at Goodwater, but I do not see his name on the list of interments. Do you happen to know if he is buried at Goodwater or anything about him or his wife Nancy Byars Walker?

Thank you for any assistance or information you can provide,

Karla Gainey

Rebecca Stricklin Harris
I added Mrs. Harris' obit to her memorial. My grandmother must have known her since she kept the obit from the paper.

Joel Mize
Morris Cemetery

My name is Joel Mize of NW Alabama. I see that you are originally of Savannah GA and now live in NW Alabama counties where most of my recent kin reside.

On May 16th, as President of Shoals Area SAR, we will have a Grave Marking Ceremony to be held at Hopewell cemetery (SE of Glen Allen), but with acknowledgement of RW era soldiers/pioneers in nearby Tidwell Chapel and Morris cemetery. Would like to invite you to attend, beginning with a "dinner on the ground" at Noon, that Saturday.

Thanks for photos from these cemeteries. I'm a native of Haleyville, grew up in rural Marion County, lived out of State until retirement 3 years ago.

Thomas Stanford
Thank you so much for all the great work you do!
I'm researching George Stanford who was brother to Thomas, and both sons of William. I see that you have Thomas' birth in King George County, VA and wonder how you have discovered that.

all the best,

Lisa Owens
Franks Family
Would you have any information on Dicy (spelling?) Franks from Alabama? I have recently been found by my grandmothers family. From what I was told, she is the daughter of Joseph C Franks (#47925238), and would be my great-grandmother. She married William Henry Wilson and had 5 children, the youngest being my grandmother. My grandparents and parents passed when I was only 16. The only information I had was that my grandmother was from Alabama. This new group of family has provided the rest of the information.
Please feel free to reply to this message or email me at

RE: Marcus Campbell Owings Photo

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. If you don't mind sending the picture of Mark C Owings daughter I would appreciate it as she would have been my 3rd great grandmothers (Theresa) sister.

If you get a chance to talk to your neighbor who might have more Owings or Henderson (Marcus' wife Nancy's family) photo's it would be greatly appreciated! I have some photos of Theresa T. Owings Coulter, if she would like those as well, but that is the only Owings' photos I have.

Thanks again!

Angie Basson
Fairby Franks
My name is Angie Basson, and I am searching for any information you might have on Fairby Franks. She would have been my Great-Great-Great Grandmother. I am related through Mary W. Polly Williams and Eliga Williams.

I am looking for any info on Fairby's Parents or siblings. We have family stories of Mary Polly being of Chickasaw descent. We would like to trace her Mother's lineage if possible. We have her Father's line back several generations. The information we have for Elisha D. Franks is that his family came from Germany.

Thank You in advance for any information you can provide. Please feel free to contact me at

edits for Mary Ann Pridmore
Hi Rebekah,

I am Mary Ann Pridmore's daughter-in-law. Her husband would like to make some edits to her memorial and change one of the photos that you posted. I have the Microsoft Word file with the text and a copy of the picture he wants to swap out that I can email to you, but the site won't allow me to make the edits myself, since you were the creator. Please contact me at your convenience. Thank you so much for all that you have done!
