RE: Thanks for CD
You are correct. My uncle Bill and Aunt Virginia moved from Scituate to Pocasset on the cape after my grandmother died. I remember that old Scituate house well.

RE: Thanks for CD
Okay, thanks! So although you're of my mothers generation ancestry wise, I am 4 years older than you. I was born 12-23-1948.
I noticed the date of death on Charles McCallum changed. Did you find new information?
Again, Thanks for the info and the web site. I didn't expect to find new relatives and I find it a little exciting. It's kind of the holy grail of genealogy.

What was your mother's name so I can get the connection right in my family tree program?
Thanks

Thanks for CD
Thank you for the CD, it has been helpful. I've just scanned thru it and haven't looked at it in detail but was delighted to find the invitation to my grandfather and grandmothers wedding. It looks as though our common ancestor is Eugene McCallum and you are of my mother's generation which would make us 3rd cousins once removed. Correct me if I'm wrong.

RE: Charles Eugene McCallum
I look forward to seeing it. I started creating my family tree several years ago with my mother using Family Tree Maker. When I found this web site I re-opened the project and started filling in the gaps. I have been filling the gaps in on the web site to the best of my knowledge from what I have. I have been unable to find my grandmothers grave. Her name was Helene Dusossoit McCallum and was born in Belgium and was buried in Mass. if not on Cape Cod, very near to it. I also haven't found my Aunt Helene McCallum Dunn. She died in NYC. I don't know where she was buried. I will post whatever pictures I have on the site when I find them.
Thanks a lot!

RE: Charles Eugene McCallum
Social Security death records confirm a Charles McCallum born Oct 3 1912 and died may 1981 in Newport news Va. No middle name given. Not sure where he really fits into the family, but I definitely visited him and his family in the summer of 1968 and he was related to my grandfather William Shaw McCallum Sr. and I thought it was his brother.

RE: Charles Eugene McCallum
I am confused also. I spent a weekend with the family of Charles McCallum in the summer of 1968in Newport News, Virginia. He was supposed to be my grandfather's (William Shaw McCallum)brother born October 03, 1912 and died in May 1981 in Newport News, Virginia. He was survived by son Charles Jr and daughter Anne. It's possible I'm off by a generation looking at the age differences. The only grave marker photo I have is of my parents which I have submitted.
Thanks. This is a great site and it's filling a lot of gaps in my family tree.

Smith's photo
Thank you for giving me the information on the Smith grave. I didn't make his memorial and the person who did made only one memorial 3 years ago! I have no personal information on the man's grave site. Just wanted a photo. His name is on the Viet Nam War Memorial in St Augustine.

Thank you for trying. I was thinking he had a military marker.

Hi Mary, just wanted you to know, I've already photographed the Tichenor's graves several months ago when I was photographing Ben Tichenor's grave, I could save you the trip and submit my photo's unless you already have them from your cemetery project. Anyway, just trying to save you a trip down to CC.
sincerely,
david

RE: M L Hart
Hi Mary,

Thank you so much. His name was Merritt Lewis Hart and on the 1930 census it shows he worked as a Steward for the Elks. I have him on the 1915 census up here in Akron, NY where his father and grandfather are buried. I also have a copy of his WWI draft registration card 1917-1918 (from Massachusetts where it appears he was living with a relative after his divorce. I can't find him on a 1920 census at all. How sad, no marker. :( Thank you so much for the information.

Much Thanks
Good evening Mary Murphy ;

It's such a coincidence that your name and one of my wife's N. Carolina share the same name - Mary Murphy !!

I'm contacting you to extend my Thanks & Respects for having posted a photo of my late Brother-in-Law's Veterans grave site ( anonymous ) .

I've been searching for many years until today ( 2-19-2014 ) to no avail , until I was in the midst of an Ancestry Search when I stumbled onto his FindaGrave photo , that also led me into discovering a Nephew I never knew I had ,and we connected immediately just this same afternoon .

My Brother in Law had a series of wives , all of whom were married simultaneously without benefit of Divorce . There were more than a few children who came from these illegal relationships between each of the wives , none of whom were aware of the others existence until he suddenly left at least 1 of them with a child , which resulted in a warrant for his arrest on charges of NO Child Support opened a can of worms for all 3 wives . My In Law was killed in a collision while being pursued by a Police officer and was buried in the cemetery which you have adopted .

Out of something bad , some good has come into my life , a new Nephew who has been longing for a family to care about him and I Thank you for doing what you do . A Measure of happiness has come into our Home here in Massachusetts
