Maggie D Patton
In browsing microfilm images of Clarke Co, MS Chancery Court Case files on I came across a case related to the guardianship of the minor heirs of J. J. and S. A. Patton. The file includes images of the Return of Death (image 885), Death Certificate (image 883), and Burial Permit (image 859) of Maggie D. Patton from the Health Department of the City of Mobile. The images are found in the collection "
Mississippi, Probate Records, 1781-1930" under
Clarke County and "Chancery Court case files 1840-1909 no 43-75". In addition, there are images of several other documents related to the guardianship of the minor Patton heirs. If Maggie is a member of your family, I thought you might find these documents interesting. I was surprised to see a death certificate as far back as 1872. If you have trouble finding the images, come back to me and I will answer any questions. I do not have any connection to the Pattons that I know of.

I found a Sarah O. Rogers 1865-1948. It was same type of stone as JH Rogers 1859-1929. If you think this is the right one, I will post the picture for you. Just let me know. I did not see a Sarah Braisher Rogers.
