Peleg and George A. Case
I am the member that left the message about George A. Case being the son of Restcome Case. I am George A. Case's Great Great Grand daughter. I have been researching this family including Peleg for quite a few years and have quite a lot of information on him and his California descendants. Would love to share anything I have.

Are you a descendant ot Frederick Loring Case or his sister Lizzy Abby Case?

Hi Sharron,
The only pictures I have is of William Joseph Foley 1896 - 1943, taken abt 1915 and Rose Kline 1884 - 1938 first wife of Ed Murrey. Guess I can't help you out with pictures. If you would like a copy of the two I have, I will be happy to send them to you. I need an email address.

RE: Restcome Case and Waity Potter Case
Thanks for the info on the History of Sonoma. I enjoyed reading Peleg's story, especially the part about New Bedford being a 'hamlet'! When Peleg was born the 1830 census count totaled 7592; by 1836 the official count was 11,113 due to the whaling industry. By 1847 New Bedford was incorporated as a city and in 1950 it was one of the richest, per capita, of the United States. Not bad for a 'hamlet'.
If you change your mind about the transfer let me know. If it's in your 'care' that allows you to edit data and/or add biological info.

Hi Sharon,
Vital records to 1850, New Bedford marriages (Vol 2) lists George A Case, 23, son of Restcome & Waity P married Joanna Peirce, 18, dau. of Otis H. & Joanna, on Sept. 5, 1847. The NEHGS website also has the handwritten register on file which has the same info as the published Vital Records transcriptions.
I have less info to back up the California residency. That came from a family tree on Ancestry and some census records for a George A Case born is Mass. in the same year. I added that back before I discovered how wildly inaccurate some of the census info is. Who knew how many people were so clueless as to when & where they were born!
