|Don Texter||A name correction is needed.|
My wife is buried in the McKenzie Cemetery near Oletha,Texas .Faye Sanders Texter.
You have a name that you attached to her name of "Fanny" which is not true, she never used that name.
Please put a correction in "Find a Grave" showing the elimination of the name,"Fanny".
Thankyou. Don Texter Nov.22,2015

Hi Cam... I have found a family who I believe should all be buried in this cemetery but there are only 13 memorials posted. Not that I can remember every single cemetery I have worked on, but I am wondering if you remember back to 2010 and this particular cemetery well enough to say if you listed all the known graves, or just a few selected ones. Thanks for any insights.

Thanks for the info about the duplicate memorial, however her death cert states burial in San Fernando #2. Before I remove my memorial I will have to do more research. Thanks Beverly

I just wanted to let you know you posted a photo of a headstone on the memorial for a Maria C. Scanio Find A Grave # 31457800 and if you look it is the incorrect Maria because of the date of death; your photo matches the dates of Maria F. Scanio Find A Grave # 31457923.
Just wanted to bring that easily made error to your attention so you could delete the one photo and add it to the other memorial. Your photo has three people listed on the headstone.

Thanks so much for posting pictures from St. Joseph's #1 in New Orleans. Francis Varenholt and Theresa Patmuller are recent ancestors, and I've not seen their grave(s) before. You provided some info I did not know. You can read more about them and find out a bit more about relationships on Wikitree if you would like; thanks again for your volunteer efforts to digitize this information.
I've never done anything on Find-A-Grave before, but I attempted to link a few of the family members in your entry to other family members (Meyers-Varenholt) entered by someone else for the same cemetery. If it didn't work, happy to help link them all together.

(Cam, the following is taken from an article by the late historian Eric Brock. If attribution is given please credit 'Eric Brock'.)
Beatrice Hawthorne Moore of Shreveport was the first woman in Louisiana history to serve in the state legislature. She was born in Dunkirk, Ind. in 1898 but moved with her parents to Shreveport, La. at a young age. She graduated from St. Vincent's Academy and from State Normal College (Northwestern State University) at Natchitoches, La. In 1920 she married Waldo Wightman Moore, city editor of the Shreveport Journal newspaper. Mrs. Moore taught math in the public schools in Caddo Parish and it was during this time that she headed what was then the largest PTA in the state of Louisiana. In 1940 she was elected to the Louisiana state legislature. Among her progressive ideas eventually enacted into law: the 12-year school system instead of 11; the abolition of fraternities and sororities on public high school campuses and insurance for varsity athletics. She died in 1990 at the age of 91, a champion of women's rights and public education to the last.

I did not "blur out" the last two names. I took the picture and that is how it came out.
I am not a relative of this person. I had responded to a request for a picture of someone in this cemetery and when I do that I take pics of the entire cemetery. That way I don't have to keep returning to the same cemetery to fulfill requests.

Cam, if this person is not a close relative would you please transfer this to me? I have further info on her. She is a second cousin to me.
Thank you, Evelyn

I'm sending you a note hoping you can help me fix a problem I have. I found a request for the above named and memorial number Isaac Adams, and I checked it and you had already posted a photo of the stone. The request was made in 2014 and you posted the picture in 2010, the person who made it hasn't done much, only 3 memorial created since almost a year ago. I didn't know whether to ask him to delete his request or since he doesn't seem to be doing much thought it might be better to ask you if you could post another picture of the stone so that it would clear his request and then later you could delete the duplicate picture.
When I found that you had a picture on the memorial I made a post to the request page indicating there was already a picture there, but I was new when I made the post and whatever I did I did it wrong because it posted 3 times, now it shows there was 4 things wrong with filling the request. I just thought it would be nice to "fix" the problem.
I apologize for asking this of you, but seemed like the best place to start since you appear to be experienced in handling memorials.
I thank you for your time.

|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I apologize if I missed your response to my 1/5/2014 message--here it is again:
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Wayne A. Alford in Gracelawn Memorial Park (Memorial# 16586795).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Delaware Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/DEOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Cam Thompson
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!
