John Dolan
Hi...my great grandmother worked on the TOM? Dolan farm around 1885 in Indianola, Ne. She was a German immigrant from Russia named Sophie Beck. She married my g grandfather Otis Coburn and they farmed north of Indianola and are both buried in the cemetery in Indianola, along with many family members. I got the Tom Dolan name from her OBIT and actually have an old photo that says Dolan on it, so I always assumed it was Tom, but perhaps she worked for John, not Tom, or there may have been a family connection?

Do you know if there was a Tom in the Dolan family in the Indianola area or would you know if John and his wife had a girl working for them around that time? Do you have a connection with the Dolan family? Perhaps they would recognize this photo. Thanks! Michelle Dunn

Richard S. O'Neil
Hi Jim,

I am researching my O'Neil line. It seems like you personally know Richard. S. O'Neil. His father is the brother of my husband's 3rd great grandfather. I am looking for photographs of that immediate family. Do you have any contact information for Richard & Isabel's children or other family members? Or, if you're not comfortable giving that out, I'd be happy to share my contact information for you to give to them. Thank you so much!

Melissa Yost
Carlson family
Hello from California
My name is Melissa Yost. I've been researching my Carlson family for about a year now and have hit a brick wall. The story about Carl Fredrick Carlson is Very Very similar to what I've been told about my Great grandfather Gustav Carlson. I looked up his Naturalization card and a Fred Carlson was sign as a witness. So I decided to look him up.
Hopefully this will ring a bell to someone. And someone can help me in my search.
Here is what I know of my great grandparents.
Gus Carlson was born in Sweden 1865.Traveled to the United States in 1887. Met his wife Eva Carlson, same last name no relation, on the same ship. They were married in La Salle Illinois Aug 16 1890. Gus fathers name is Carl Swanson Mother Johanna Swanson. Eva's Father is Carl Anderson Mother Ida Johnson. Most of there lives were in Cook Illinois. I have no records of Gus and Eva's siblings. But have info on my great aunts and uncles.Hope this message finds you well. And just maybe my long lost Carlson family will be reunited somehow. You can reach me at isowu2@hotmail.com if you have any info for me. Thank you for your time.

Elizabeth Phister 1830-1917
Hi Jim,

Would you please transfer Elizabeth (Harrison) Phister to me? She is buried at Riverside Cemetery in Denver, CO.

I'm researching my Harrison family. Taking it from the top: Dominick and Elizabeth (Montgomery) Harrison immigrated from Ireland around 1790 and settled in Lewisburg, Mason Co., KY. They had six children: Thomas, James, Margaret, Peter, Nancy and Elizabeth.

James' daughter was Elizabeth, b. August 1830 in Mason Co., KY. I descend from James' brother Thomas. My 2nd great grandmother Nancy and Elizabeth were first cousins.

A few days ago I received a copy of Dominick Harrison's Will from Kentucky Historical Society in Louisville. It's now part of my findagrave memorial for him.

Dominick, his wife Elizabeth, and their children Thomas, James and Nancy are at findagrave. I've linked them. I want to link the memorials for Elizabeth and her husband Jacob Phister to James Harrison's findagrave entry. Some of Elizabeth's and Jacob's descendants have findagrave memorials.

I hope I've made sense. Thanks for your help.

I tried to send a message to the current owner, but it appears he does not accept messages, so thought I would pass it along to you instead. Have a great day

Some interesting history you shared with me concerning the family name. Yeah, I was just so sure I found a connection, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Thanks for your response and your sharing,

Hello Jim,

I recently added 2 Almquist family members into the database. They are Howard and his wife, Phyllis.

Howard's memorial number, 101813646 .

Then I ran into Ernest ( 28614664 ) and saw that you posted family photos, and of course I noticed your surname.

I see the Nebraska and Colorado connections within both obits. I also note that Ernest had a brother named Martin Carl, and Howard's father was Carl, though I do not know if there is connection there.

So, can you tell me how these folks are related? I can feel it in my bones that they are. :-)

Thank you,
Sheila

I'm sorry for the confusion. I haven't found either of those folks yet, the ones you made memorials for are Ethel, Laveta and Mary Lehn. I just added headstone pictures to those. I'm working to do all of O'Neill but I may be at it awhile, there are thousands left yet. Linda
